He’s being challenged at last!

I haven’t been following every day, is Novak still in it?

Well nice to see this electronic calling change has completely bombed. Just saw that ridiculous call in the Pavlyuchenkova/Kartal match, no one had any sense to just watch a replay and call the point

  • Just a different class, Norrie didn't play badly but Alcaraz is a beast. No one is stopping him

He’s playing Sinner after this match

Fritz was really good. The best anyone has looked against Carlos on grass in 3 years

On what could be Djokovic’s last ever Wimbledon game he breaks Sinner in the third set though he’s two sets down and occasionally struggling with an injury.

kinda feel sorry for Djokovik

Welp 6-0 5-0 and Swiatek now serving for the title too. Pretty one sided I’d say

And Sabalenka somehow lost to THAT. Make it make sense... didn't even last an hour

Props to Swiatek though, I think when you win a major on all 3 surfaces that puts you in the elite category. First women to do that since Barty I believe? And winning Wimbledon in the same year after finally being dethroned at Roland Garros, a funny turn of events

Another fun but wild fact, Anisimova started this tournament by winning 6-0 6-0 herself against Putintseva in round 1.

Putintseva beat Swiatek in last year's tournament 🙀

Anisimova never got into that match at all, lots of errors combined with Swiatek playing so well.

Great to see a British pair win the men's doubles earlier on.

poor Anisimova, guess it was down to nerves

her speech was very emotive too

think Swiatek could have let her win at least 1 game

First Wimbledon men's final since 2002 that there hasn't featured an R Federer, R Nadal, N Djokovic or A Murray.

It's the second double-bagel final in the Open era as Steffi Graf beat Natasha Zvereva in the 1988 French Open final.

Great stat.

And any of the last three years, Swiatek would've been coming in as a favourite (being the #1 seed), and we've ended up with a pretty random winner, then this year she came in with no expectation and she's ended up proving everyone wrong about her ability on grass.

Hoping that Alcaraz also secures his 6th grand slam (would be the 3rd time that him and Iga have been champions together if he can manage it, each time on a different surface)

That was a very sad final to watch, felt very bad for Anisimova - I guess the body crumbles under pressure sometimes. But never thought I’d witness a double bagel in a Wimbledon final ever.

I only had one hour free to watch yesterday between 4 and 5 and I didn’t expect to be able to see the entire match. She had been so strong on the run up to the final. Swiatek was so ruthless though, class player, at her best she is way better than Sabalenka for me so I hope she gets back to No.1.

First player since Barty to do the girls/ladies double.

Federer was the last boys/gentlemen double winner.
