Alex Warrenโ€™s โ€˜Ordinaryโ€™ No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 for Fourth Week

By Gary Trust | 06/30/2025

Alex Warrenโ€™s โ€œOrdinaryโ€ continues atop the Billboard Hot 100, as his first leader on the list adds a fourth week at No. 1.

Plus, Cardi Bโ€™s new single โ€œOutsideโ€ launches at No. 10 on the Hot 100, becoming her 13th career top 10.

Meanwhile, Morgan Wallen logs his sixth week with at least three simultaneous Hot 100 top 10s this year โ€” surpassing Kendrick Lamar for the most such weeks in 2025.

(Effective this week, SiriusXM streaming data is now included in the Hot 100, as well as Billboardโ€™s streaming and genre-specific multimetric charts. Such activity is classified as programmed streams and represents listens of select current-based live music channels via SiriusXMโ€™s app or website.)

โ€œOrdinary,โ€ on Atlantic Records, tallied 19.8 million official streams (down 3% week-over-week), 64.2 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 4%) and 6,000 sold (down 6%) in the United States June 20-26.

The single spends a second week at No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart; rebounds 4-2 on Streaming Songs, following four weeks at the summit; and holds at No. 2 after seven weeks atop Digital Song Sales.

โ€œOrdinaryโ€ is also the most scorching hit on the Songs of the Summer chart, having led all five weeks since the seasonal survey made its annual return after Memorial Day.

Cardi Bโ€™s โ€œOutsideโ€ soars onto the Hot 100 at No. 10, with 15.6 million streams, 6 million in airplay audience and 14,000 sold from its June 20 release through June 26. Itโ€™s her 13th top 10 and first since โ€œEnough (Miami)โ€ debuted at its No. 9 peak in March 2024. She boasts five No. 1s โ€” the most among women rappers โ€” from her debut hit, โ€œBodak Yellow (Money Moves),โ€ in 2017, through โ€œUp,โ€ in 2021.

โ€œOutsideโ€ opens at No. 1 on Digital Song Sales, marking Cardi Bโ€™s eighth leader.

The single, which was available in its original form and a cappella and instrumental versions in its first week, previews Cardi Bโ€™s second LP, Am I the Drama?, due Sept. 19, as announced June 23.

(Also notably, the Hot 100 debut of โ€œOutsideโ€ ends an unprecedented four-week run of every song in the top 10 having peaked at No. 1 or No. 2.)

Morgan Wallenโ€™s โ€œWhat I Want,โ€ featuring Tate McRae, rises 3-2 on the Hot 100, after it debuted in May as Wallenโ€™s fourth No. 1 and McRaeโ€™s first. It adds a fifth week atop Streaming Songs (22.3 million, up 3%) and a sixth week at No. 1 on the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart.

Wallen follows on the Hot 100 with the No. 2-peaking โ€œJust in Case,โ€ which keeps at No. 4, and โ€œIโ€™m the Problem,โ€ which lifts 6-5 โ€” as Wallen runs up his sixth week with at least three simultaneous top 10s this year, one-upping Kendrick Lamar for the most in 2025.

Wallen moves up on the leaderboards for the most simultaneous Hot 100 top 10s both dating to the chartโ€™s 1958 start and in a single year. Hereโ€™s a look at both standings through the July 5-dated survey.

Most Weeks With 3-Plus Simultaneous Hot 100 Top 10s All-Time:

19, Drake

15, 50 Cent

11, Justin Bieber

10, The Beatles

10, Kendrick Lamar

9, T-Pain

8, Sabrina Carpenter

8, Morgan Wallen

7, Taylor Swift

Most Weeks With 3-Plus Simultaneous Hot 100 Top 10s in a Single Year:

13, 50 Cent in 2005

12, Drake in 2018

10, The Beatles in 1964

9, T-Pain in 2007

8, Sabrina Carpenter in 2024

6, Morgan Wallen in 2025

6, Justin Bieber in 2016

Similarly, Wallen claims five songs in the Hot Country Songs top 10. Dating to his first such frame in January 2021, itโ€™s his 27th week with at least half the chartโ€™s top 10 โ€” no other act has more than one week earning the honor (Beyoncรฉ, in 2024, and Zach Bryan and Taylor Swift, both in 2023).

Wallenโ€™s Iโ€™m the Problem, the parent set of all three of his current top 10s, secures a sixth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Sabrina Carpenterโ€™s โ€œManchildโ€ dips 2-3 on the Hot 100, after it debuted as her second No. 1, and first chart-topping debut, two weeks earlier.

Kendrick Lamar and SZAโ€™s โ€œLutherโ€ descends 5-6 after 13 weeks atop the Hot 100 beginning in March. It notches a 27th week at No. 1 on both the multimetric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, extending the longest rule on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (dating to October 1958, when the chart became the genreโ€™s all-encompassing songs ranking).

Shaboozeyโ€™s โ€œA Bar Song (Tipsy)โ€ stays at No. 7 on the Hot 100, following its record-tying 19 weeks at No. 1 beginning last July, and Lady Gaga and Bruno Marsโ€™ โ€œDie With a Smileโ€ is stationary at No. 8 after five weeks at No. 1 beginning in January.

Teddy Swimsโ€™ โ€œLose Control,โ€ which led the Hot 100 for a week in March 2024, and became the yearโ€™s No. 1 song, remains at No. 9. It posts a record-padding 67th week in the top 10 and a record-extending 97th week on the chart overall.

US HOT 100 1.06.25 #38

THE TOP TEN:

10. Outside โ€“ Cardi B (NEW)
9. Lose Control โ€“ Teddy Swims (No change/97 weeks in chart)
8. Die With A Smile โ€“ Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars (No change/45 weeks on the chart)
7. A Bar Song (Tipsy) โ€“ Shaboozey (No change/63 weeks in chart)
6. Luther โ€“ Kendrick Lamar/SZA (Down 1/31 weeks in chart)
5. I'm The Problem โ€“ Morgan Wallen (Up 1/21 weeks in chart)
4. Just In Case โ€“ Morgan Wallen (No change/14 weeks in chart)
3. Manchild โ€“ Sabrina Carpenter (Down 1/3 weeks in chart)
2. What I Want โ€“ Morgan Wallen/Tate McRae (Up 1/6 weeks in chart)
1. Ordinary โ€“ Alex Warren (No change/4 weeks No.1/20 weeks in chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

96. Verano Rosa โ€“ Karol G/Feid (7.3/10)

94. Gabriela - KATSEYE (7.2/10)

Think of everything that their first single "Gnarly" was, and now think of the opposite of each of those elements. This song is softer; it's not cringe, and it actually takes the time in the beat to form a sweet pop song. Think of it like Mae Muller if she were good.

82. This Heart โ€“ Corey Kent (5.5/10)

Seriously, who is excited by this? You get the idea of things now; it's an American Heartbreak country song, and somehow this is not only a lead single but also number one on the country airplay charts. Make something new instead of the re-gurgitated guitar music that's honestly on Alex Warren's level.

81. Golden โ€“ HUNTRX/EJAE/Audrey Nuna/Rei Ami (7/10)

From my understanding this is from a show called Demon Hunters, which by the cover I'd assume is on Netflix. It's a K-pop song with a sound that sounds like it's not too unexpected for K-pop girl bands, but that doesn't stop it from still having a fair bit of fun.

80. Bottle Rockets โ€“ Scotty McCreery & Hootie & The Blowfish (6.8/10)

The hook is a pleasant change from the start that leaves more effect on the replayability; this still stands at US country music that's just above the margin of boring. I'm not getting the hype; I won't be returning to it.

77. Your Idol โ€“ Saja Boys/Andrew Choi/Neckwav/Danny Chung/Kevin Woo/SamUIL Lee (6.9/10)

Another song that's from the same corner of media as "Golden", the song blends K-pop with hip-hop in a song that sounds like a mix of BTS and Imagine Dragons, but not as bad as that collaboration really would be. It's certainly acceptable, even a little catchy, but there are things that could be improved. I know instead of screaming parts of the song you can make a more real hook instead, and lyric-wise this has even more areas to improve.

74. Papasito โ€“ Karol G (7.6/10)

Nice drum pattern that feels traditional to Karol's genre and a really lovely vocal performance that's quite fitting for the song.

73. Mr Electric Blue - Benson Boone (7.1/10)

It's like "Mystical Magical" but if it didn't carry a whole hate train on the internet. The intense buildup tone on "Watch the way you talk to me" really adds up to the full kick in the hook. And the way it goes into a summer pop song is lovely.

72. Bodies โ€“ Offset/JID (7/10)

Previous listen:

Their flow was nice, and the beat was nice, but everything felt just "nice" for me, nothing more. Maybe a good song for the night out, though.

Added (AKA Second Listen):

Clean verses that have the slick factor to them โ€“ it's like a more thought-out version of a Gunna song.

30. 6 Months Later โ€“ Megan Moroney (5.2/10)

This is honestly really like Lainey Wilson, but a bit worse. But overall it's the same country composition you've heard other places; it doesn't matter.

10. Outside โ€“ Cardi B (7.7/10)

Cardi B makes a radio-trap song with the perfect level of bounce in the bass and fiery, unapologetic vocals.

RE-ENTRIES:

97. Don't We โ€“ Morgan Wallen
[Love this with a passion!]

66. Latina Foreva โ€“ Karol G

Actual LOL at Shaboozey still top 10 on this! ๐Ÿคฃ

Well it is still a fresh hit compared to Teddy Swims who is also still top 10...!

at least this week Beautiful Things left the top 10 :)

Not much of an impact from Benson's album though, even Karol G had more of an impact with her album
