Feeds are still off, and presumably might be until the episode, rumour is that (not sure if it’s reliable but anyway)

The outside twist features a puzzle which kind of functions like the safety chain from BBCAN11, along with an instant eviction, Ava wins and she can pick someone to do the puzzle first, and with each person the time decreases, the first person to fail is evicted , and it’s Lauren!! I feel like that’s kind of unfair if it’s true, rather than make the numbers work with how many weeks/evictions there are, but if it’s only Lauren who’s the victim then I don’t mind. Game wise it’s kind of unfair since it has no social aspect to the eviction, you can’t campaign to save yourself etc, but I suppose it’s a fun twist and like I said Lauren is no loss, but it sounds like fan fiction lol. I don’t like the thought of cramming in doubles and triples either but I do agree the jury phase can be a bit of a drag. Even now where it’s an exciting dynamic, if we lose say two from either side of the house at once, that easily facilitates a steamroll for the other side, whether it’s the side I want or not that is boring.

Also the Blockbuster is apparently still active until the eviction on the 18th?! I enjoy that it makes evictions more unpredictable but it does destroy the social aspect of the game, we don’t want a watered down kiddie version of The Challenge, we want Big Brother!! There shouldn’t be 3 nominees when there’s this many left and it makes the strategy of back dooring someone almost impossible.

well that was certainly… a past few episodes. Anywayzzz

spoilers for feeds coming back

Lauren HOH but RACHEL SACRIFICED??? f*** BIG BROTHER AND I SAID THAT SHIT

That’s it for me. Good season while it lasted lol

Of course it’s easy to be more annoyed when it’s my winner who goes due to it, but anybody going from this twist is a joke. But someone who’s played pretty much a perfect game?! Even if it was Lauren who’s my least fave along with Kelley be mad. Both her and Rachel should be applauded for the social game it takes to not be nominated for the entire prejury phase, so this isn’t even specifically about Rachel for me. I mean yeah I’d probably be fine to lose Lauren but when you deep it it really is unfair. Why on earth are they eliminating someone due to a stupid puzzle in a social strategy game?! Production should have actually planned the season’s evictions properly if the numbers didn’t work out with singles. I know in Big Brother you “expect the unexpected”, and one comp can change everything, but right now it feels like CBS wants it to be anything but Big Brother.

Oh and only 3/7 people competed in the HOH apparently lmfao what is this shit.

This is just not Big Brother to me. Even the houseguests are mad and baffled that it’s barely a social game anymore. High key rooting Keanu to win idc but I don’t think I’ll tune back in lmfao

I don't get why they reach a certain point and try their very best to ruin the season. Dyre Fest in BB24, zombie week in BB25, Jankie World in BB26, and now this. Between this twist, and the blockbuster still being in play for now (meaning we have 8 people left and half of them could end up being nominated...), I'm growing a little frustrated with a season that has been SO good up to now.

Also Rachel going this way is a joke and I guarantee this will be reflected in their ratings for the rest of the season.

CBS love to make Big Brother everything but Big Brother. It feels like as Love Island took off even more this season, between Vince/Morgan and Katherine/Rylie they definitely wanted to get in on that. Like with say Tyler and Angela or Holly and Jackson, I don’t feel like the episodes had as much focus on showmances as it did this time round. Now we’re getting a watered down kiddie version of The Challenge. I think the longevity of Big Brother is because of the simplicity of its format, and for the longtime fans that’s what we want! Twists are fine and do spice things up but not to this degree. It’s going to alienate a lot of fans if this is the way they’re going.

I think sadly casuals who just see the episodes mostly favour competitions as that’s what they see, but The Challenge already has about 17 seasons a year it feels like, why does Big Brother need to be that too? The whole point of BB is that it mixes both which other formats don’t do, a great player should be able to manoeuvre socially and strategically if they don’t win a comp and might be in danger, or you can win a clutch comp if you’ve made a faux pas socially and find yourself backed up against the wall. But the core whole point of BB is there is always a chance to fight for it whichever way you’re able to. Not this.

I can't believe that Rachel, a previous queen of comps, is of all people the one to go home due to failing a comp..... Feel like we've been robbed of a legend sitting in the eviction chairs and either being voted out or winning for a second time.

On one hand I think it feels worse because it wasn't supposed to play out like that, Morgan chose her to try and keep her safe with everyone else up until that point having plenty of time left, but then Rachel appeared to be really bad and not really getting the hang of it so it's on her as well. Meh, Ava all the way for me from this point on.

If it wasn't bad enough that Rachel went home due to a twist, we also had to see Tyler drama.gif

Devastated for Rachel (and the season as a whole) but in a weird way I loved everything else about the twist and watching everyone scramble. I won't bother defending the twist because you know production is embarrassed that this was the outcome, so maybe we'll never see it again lol

We were so close to getting Kelley out, sigh

Even if it was Kelley to go, I just think it’s so unfair for anyone to make jury through whatever means, only to be eliminated by a competition, with no chance to save yourself through the social part of the competition or a veto. But for it to be a legendary player, and one who was pretty much playing the best game, is just another level. I think it would maaaybe be fine as a cruel but twisty first night thing, as something to decide the first juror it is insane.

Yet they’re continuing blockbuster up to top 6?! As I said it’s just trying to be a kiddie watered down The Challenge because it’s a complete slap in the face to the social foundations of the game. I was ranting to my friend who loves F1 and said it’s like Lando Norris coming last in a race without being allowed to get in the car lol We have to suffer Kelley this entire time because she won some Mario Party style mini games but Rachel Reilly just has her impeccable social game cut down.

So things have actually gone pretty much perfectly but Keanu going was a shame as I did find his arc satisfying to watch. Morgan definitely deserves to win though, she wins easily against everyone left anyway. She’s played a great game and now has locked in as a comp beast, Vince played way too hard too soon but Morgan has definitely thought about the long game.

I’ve been half watching but not as intently as I was and lowkey Kelley and Lauren evicted in the same night was an al time great double.

In the end this was a stellar season, despite CBS’ best efforts lol

Kind of gutted for Morgan in one way but Ashley’s win proves this is a social game, and CBS need to remember that. Ashley had a terrible edit so to a casual it probably looks like such a random win, CBS really overlook the social game and I think it doesn’t help that there’s only 3 episodes so it’s really about HOH for one, veto for the second and blockbuster for the eviction night. Because Ashley wasn’t winning anything, they didn’t show much of her and the average viewer didn’t get to see that she was the best social player this season. Obviously she’s not on his level but remember Dr Will won without any comp wins and is considered, rightfully, one of the best of all time. Honestly I don’t think Morgan even really got the edit she deserved, especially prejury when she survived against Rylie. She was instrumental in keeping Rachel safe through the last bit of prejury and getting the Judges through it also. She pretty much controlled Vince’s HOH reigns and cleared the path for them to both make the final as a dominant showmance duo.

All this pushing of competitions especially with the Blockbuster lasting as long as it did, only for someone who only won the two most crucial comps to her game possible to win in the end should remind everyone what Big Brother is at its core. Vince for example had an absolutely horrible social game and abysmal jury management, which shows in the fact that his own allies he betrayed all voted against him. He played hard and desperately wanted to win, for that I applaud him, and he was great TV to his credit.

Ashley was my winner pick along with Rachel for basically the whole season so I am happy, Morgan did deserve it in the end but so does Ashley. It’s very very rare that there’s more than one person in the final 3 I’m happy with winning!

Ashley’s is CINEMA for quite a few reasons though:

Her being Vince’s week 1 target, almost evicted for a shower, but she won the veto and was barely a target for the entire rest of the season, only to win against him all these weeks later near unanimously

Her only HOH win being final 3, proving comps don’t mean a thing without social game

The cinematic parallels with Morgan/Vanessa and Ashley/Steven

Lauren and Keanu even voting for her, which really nailed how terrible Vince’s jury management and social game was in the end

Based on very early impressions my initial faves are Ashley and possibly Lauren.

The way I nearly deleted this post after Showergate because I assumed Ashley had no chance!

Ngl I ended up rooting for Morgan instead and think she proved herself as a top-tier BB player, but still couldn't be happier for Ashley, whose come-from-behind story might be second only to Taylor? (Edit: maybe not, I kinda forgot Jag was literally evicted and came back to win)

I'm not going to defend Vince per se but I've been invested all season in seeing how far he'd get with having all those final-twos. To his credit I actually liked quite a bit of his speech, not that it mattered after Ashley's speech which was truly incredible!

Overall, I am completely in awe of this season!! It was a mix of the best and utterly worst gameplay, the best and worst twists, and was fully entertaining from beginning to end. I appreciated seeing some new comps for a change, and the elimination order felt mostly correct with one obvious exception. At the very least we've now gone five years without a disaster season and I'm thankful for that.
