Posted Wednesday at 14:463 days Very sad to see that Ozzy Osbourne passed away yesterday. The Osbournes was probably one of the most iconic TV shows on MTV, and generally in the early 00s, allowing cameras to see the lives of Ozzy, wife Sharon and two of their children, Kelly and Jack. Does anybody have any memories of it to share, or Ozzy's 00s and beyond career?I remember one episode saw Ozzy launching his new album in 2002, interestingly the single Dreamer only peaked at No.18 here but got to No.2 in Germany and was one of the top 15 biggest selling songs of the year there, quite a strong rock ballad. The show definitely boosted the careers of Ozzy, Sharon and Kelly, with Sharon becoming a popular judge on The X Factor, Kelly having a successful music career, including her and her father's only stint at No.1 with Changes in late 2003. I just remember them being talked about everywhere, it massively gave Ozzy's career a second wind long after the heyday of Black Sabbath. Also, who can forget X Factor's Chico jumping into the Osbournes' pool holding a microphone plugged in at the mains and Ozzy's reaction to that, in 2005.
Thursday at 01:063 days Can't say I watched an awful lot of The Osbourne's outside of some occasional scenes. My dad used to spam his 2002 album loads in the car so am familiar with several of his songs from there, 'Dreamer' and this one below were the two I Remember most.I did like this from Ozzy and he performed it on an episode of WWE Smackdown at the time as well.
Thursday at 10:442 days I never watched the show at the time but was enough into pop culture to know just how huge they were, pretty much Kardashians-level it felt. I remember my stepsisters were massively into it, mind you it felt like they watched pretty much everything on MTV lol.Definitely remember watching that Chico moment though!
