Unrelated to this, but some fans of the show are starting to believe what the monsters are saying about Sigourney are true.

Cynthia sadly feels way too hyper aware of her “character” on the show, obviously she was a fan fave but that was because she was naturally chaotic and fun whereas at this point this run feels like she is a completely over egged version of that. Dragula is already a lot of those kinds of characters so Cynthia feeling like naturally chaotic was really endearing and it’s disappointing to not have that energy this time.

The way Cynthia reacting to being placed in the bottom reminded me of when I hosted my own version of Drag Race on Twitter, and certain people would blame me for them being in the bottom, even though that they were one of the worst performing ones that week.

How on earth did Jay Kay win that challenge? Like, at least half the cast were better than her in it. I thought the win should've gone to either Cynthia or Evah. Also, Blackberri should've been in the bottom 3 over La Zavaleta.

Do you guys think that Dollya deserved to have everyone dogpiling on her in the cauldron?

I've seen more people starting to believe that Sigourney is the problem, and that the monsters were right about her this whole time.

This sounds really picky of me since it’s kind of the opposite complaint I had for Titans but whilst this season is good enough I am enjoying it, it feels it’s.. trying too hard? Like this feels almost meticulously calculated to be an amalgamation of everything that makes a great Dragula season to the point it kind of isn’t lol

What an episode that was! One of the best in the history of Dragula, I may add. The Boulets and one of the producers even calling out Dollya for lying about having a mental health/wellness check threatened on her. Abhora going to the E.R. for eating meat she wasn't supposed to eat. Zavaleta going off on Jay Kay and hugging a tree, but then making up with Jay Kay during the cauldron. Cynthia being the mediator/therapist of the season.

I wonder if Dollya is going to have some kind of medevac situation with her mental health or possibly Abhora, I don’t think j it will be just a normal elim or they’d have done it in this episode? But the Boulets do love a cliffhanger for no reason too

Also honestly I’m getting tired of Sigourney giving NOTHING in these challenges. Abhora and Jay Kay are kind of running away with this season for me although Jay Kay did kind of flip this week and was lucky to have the safety. Abhora had no business even being in the bottom.

Priscilla’s elimination was complete bullshit, I think the Boulets have a very very narrow view of what they want from Dragula. That psychological lens on filth I feel was way more effective than “let me smear some kind of coloured liquid to pretend it’s blood over my face” which is what they seem to want??

Idk that was just absolutely insane to me. Abhora, Priscilla and Sigourney all killed that for me. Cynthia or even Evah should have been bottom over Priscilla and probably Disasterina really, that feels like they just went track record for a double elimination to thin the numbers out, they sacrificed the ones who had no storyline as well. They obviously wouldn’t sacrifice Evah and Cynthia is a narrator type and in the middle of the drama.

Abhora is running away with this, they have actually come back as a fully realised evolved version of themselves and grabbed this chance by the horns. Whereas you look at Evah who is doing the same shit time and again and is arguably more annoying than ever lol

Sigourney kind of f***ed it for herself in the Cauldron but eliminating her really makes no sense, on any metric:

If you go by track record, Cynthia has been in the bottom the most and has no wins

If you go by this week, both Cynthia and Abhora did worse

If Evah was going to be strategic, Abhora had two wins as well or there’s Jay Kay who has been consistently in the top. That would have been completely unfair though

But I’m not THAT arsed since I don’t think Sigourney is at her A-game and I think Dragula is just not her show for what her drag is strongest at. That’s truthfully the same with Evah for me but the Boulets shit themselves over everything she does. Honestly Evah is giving me she couldn’t get on Drag Race so thought this will do. You know what you’re getting every time, whereas say Abhora there is a stamp and a brand, but she is consistently thinking outside of the box and showing growth as a drag artist. I thought Abhora had it but I still think it could be Evah now. This feels like they tried to give her a “big moment” that puts her in the front because Abhora started overtaking. There’s just too much polish and determination to Evah, there’s no roughness, no twisted mind that thinks of things in a unique light, and that for me is what Dragula is or at least it’s what I want when I watch this show. Even in terms of the latter seasons overproduced drama, she’s not giving that, she’s annoying at worst and boring/forgettable at best. So on either of those terms I just don’t get what they are seeing in her if she wins!! If we compare to Drag Race, she feels like the Dragula version of a 1-2 win finalist who is never really in the bottom but has no chance of winning

Then there’s Cynthia, ostensibly great tv (although I am bored of the hyper aware character) but this is 3 episodes she has done the worst and should/could have gone home but didn’t.

If judged normally and looking at the floor show and performance think I’d go:

WIN Jaharia

HIGH Evah, Jay

LOW Sigourney

BTM Abhora

ELIM Cynthia

What she said during the cauldron was basically "I'M the only person here who has been denied gigs because of their body", when Jaharia and Jay Kay have both been denied gigs for being black. That came across as very dismissive towards them.

Also, do you think that Sigourney got the villain edit this season? I think she has, along with Dollya.

I don’t think she meant it like that, it’s not ,or at least it really shouldn’t be, a struggle olympics to compare who’s worse off. Her being completely denied of the chance to speak about what she faces is endemic of what happens to women in these spaces sadly. This show should be a chance for all drag to be shown and have a chance to shine, but also to face reality about what minorities in these spaces experience. That might be the experience of POC but also drag kings and women struggle with visibility in the drag community, they have the right to speak about it too and I can see why Sigourney is riled up after another run that feels the same for her as S4 and ending at the hands of someone else, not even the Boulets, when arguably she shouldn’t even have been in the bottom.

It for sure came across as insensitive and she should not have been saying it to this crowd, but I can see why it would be emotionally charged on her part when she’s fearing losing her place in the competition. It could and should have been a moment of intersectionality that highlights how many problems there still are with rep in this community, but neither side allowed the other to have a point or emphasised with the other.

Well Evah has this for sure :’) I think Abhora still might have it if she really smashes the finale but they have really gone all in on inflating Evah’s TR and ego lol. She did absolutely deserve this win but for me she could/should have been a shock elim on the holiday episode yet they didn’t even dare to put her low, god forbid she got any negative critiques.

For me Evah’s run solidifies what I’ve been thinking for a couple of seasons now, it’s going in a direction I don’t like where the Boulets will reward the most expensive drag or the most “professional” looking, rather than DIY queens on a budget who are more creative to bring their ideas to life.

i’m just kinda hoping abhora blows them all out of the water on filth… if that’s still a factor they’re going to take into account for the finale floor show.

as for the 4th slot… was kinda hoping blackberri would make it as they’ve brought the most interesting looks this season…. i definitely don’t need to see another 4 of looks from jaharia lol
