They mean the total worldwide data for each song when you click on an album or song

like Dead Dance is on 10 Million total, 4 days and worldwide so no clue what it means for the UK

All this talk about Spotify's streaming numbers makes it more surprising that other streamers don't reveal their data. It seems like a really easy way to get people thinking about your service.

Main reason Spotify do it is because they know they've got the highest numbers. Apple Music would look inadequate against their primary competitor if they put their lower numbers on full display

I kind of hope OCC don’t get the Spotify data this week, would be really interesting to see the final singles and albums chart without it.

If they don'tget data by Friday, they should delay the reveal of the chart or re-run it imo

As others have said I would find it interesting if the issue with Spotify isn't sorted out in time for Friday and to see the impact that has, particularly on the level of sales. I would be surprised if it's not resolved in time though.

KPop Demon Hunters claiming the Top 3 due to this technicality would be fun to see, and no doubt a few would be up in arms about it.

Would be interesting to know if the lack of Spotify is harming Lady Gaga - The Dead Dance. Would it be doing better than midweek #6?

Considering she was barely scraping the top 100 after the Weds/Thurs updates last week, I’d hazard a guess at the lack of Spotify data massively helping Gaga out…

Can someone estimate the data for Gaga? I mean she did 10 mil Fri-Mon worldwide, we can compare what Abracadabra did in the same timeframe worldwide vs uk and estimate it 🤩

EDIT I did some calculations... not sure if ok...

if she did 23M worldwide with Abracadabra in 4 days, out of those 1.5 were from the UK, which is 5%

if now Dead Dance did 10 millions, 5% is 500,000 streams in 4 days, which seems very low

so possibly the 10 million in 4 days that Spotify posted is not right? :)

I wouldn’t be surprised if The Dead Dance had only done somewhere in the region of 500k-700k streams in the UK over those 4 days…

From memory, Abracadabra did reasonably well on streaming in the first week or so here. I can’t imagine TDD doing anywhere near as well, considering its arguably worse than the majority of Mayhem’s album tracks!

That sounds plausible to me, this hasn't even had half the impact 'Abracadabra' has.

Since OCC don’t count Thursday streams from Spotify, presumably if it’s not fixed by tomorrow the charts will go ahead without?

All for the Spotify outage of data to help Lady Gaga get another Top 10 hit.

The Dead Dance is showing as #9 on Amazon Music for me.
