Chart Run: 36-8-8-9-15

A tribute to the Eddie Murphy song 'Party All The Time', produced by Rick James and a number 1 US hit back in 1985, Sharam, being a huge fan of the legendary comedian, originally put the track together for just himself to play. But after giving out a few copies to friends and DJs who'd witnessed the dancefloor response, the track swiftly took on a life of its own and a worldwide bidding war ensued – it's since shown all the hallmarks of a crossover hit. 'PATT' itself is a peak time synth-driven track demonstrating once again that Sharam, like all great artists, refuses to be constrained by hype and genres. - HMV

14  (from 16) Klaxons - Golden Skans

Chart Run: 16-14

Already infamous for biting chunks out of various unlikely musical influences, spattering their lyrics with a who’s who of cult literature and then ending up with a music that’s poundingly catchy, driven and unique, Klaxons prepare their main assault on the charts with the anthemic new single 'Golden Skans'.

A hypnotically sweet pop harmony is the backbone of the track, a sweeping, shiny dream of a song that will wipe clear the presumptions of those that think they know and tickle those already in the band's thrall even deeper into their cosmos. 'Golden Skans' is taken from the band's debut album 'Myths Of The Near Future'. - HMV
