  • I bought Jade’s album because my local Asda gives you 3 hours free parking if you spend £5 or more there. They do that because it’s next door to my local shopping centre where you have to pay to park.

  • Get those car parking validation sales Jade

  • Off course ya did, which is why you was calling it a flop this morning even before the sales came out

She was 3k behind the previous day, and would also have much stronger streaming than both.

I predict it will finish Sabrina at 2, Jade at 3 and Twenty One Pilots at 4 but I think it will be insanely close between 3 and 4!

Sabrina absolutely has #2 on lock, so this is all about who can make it to #3!

I wish we knew the breakdown in how these sales are being achieved. Judging by Twenty One Pilots' past albums I assume they are doing far better on streaming than Jade's album. So it's likely a case of Jade selling more physicals but only just about managing to keep up with TØP's daily updates. If streaming is to TØP's advantage, then I guess Jade would have to have a particularly terrific day of pure sales today, to overcome them in Friday's chart.

Whoever ends up at #4 will have the somewhat dubious honour of highest #4 sales of the year (previous best selling #4 - 15,271), and there's a good chance that the #3 will as well (highest selling #3 this year = 20,746).

I'm surprised neither TØP nor Jade have slashed the prices of their downloads (£7.99 and £8.99 respectively).

Both artists could have gone number 1 in different weeks, still can't forgive Jades team for putting her on the week with Ed! It really reads as a complete lack of faith in her to get good numbers so let's put her on with Ed so it don't look that bad when she could have easily outsold other artists in other weeks.

But if she's #3, Ed isn't the only one blocking her

(The album should've come out 6 months ago, but we've had that discussion on her forum several times)

The Wednesday mids had the streaming breakdown for both JADE and TØP! And indeed it was 2.1k sales for JADE and 3.5k for TØP, so the latter are more likely to benefit from missing streams added at the end of the week.

Oh yes of course! I forgot about that 😆 TØP securing #3 does seem like the most likely outcome to me. Can't wait to find out tomorrow!

The fact Jade managed to sell more in that update is promising as lots of her store orders haven’t shipped, nor have any of the banquet signed copies been added (fingers crossed they do in time)

I’d imagine 21P are getting most of the sales from streaming now as there’s nothing new being pushed.

Come on Jade a top 3 album would be great.

Here's a list of the #1 albums from this year that twenty one pilots have outsold so far, while Jade has currently outsold all of these bar Morgan Wallen:

Date order:

09-Jan  15,606 Ed Sheeran - +–=÷× (TOUR COLLECTION)

16-Jan  14,759 Elton John - Diamonds

23-Jan  10,191 Chappell Roan - The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess

13-Mar 17,761 Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet

24-Apr  16,412 Those Damn Crows - God Shaped Hole

15-May 13,870 Pink Floyd - Pink Floyd at Pompeii - MCMLXXII

29-May 19,474 Morgan Wallen - I'm the Problem

05-Jun  9,684    Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet

12-Jun  9,908    Ed Sheeran - +-=÷× (Tour Collection)

26-Jun  14,528 James Marriott - Don't Tell the Dog

10-Jul   18,848 Lorde - Virgin

14-Aug 15,643 Reneé Rapp - BITE ME

21-Aug 15,074 Oasis - Time Flies... 1994-2009

Sales order:

29-May 19,474 Morgan Wallen - I'm the Problem

10-Jul   18,848 Lorde - Virgin

13-Mar 17,761 Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet

24-Apr  16,412 Those Damn Crows - God Shaped Hole

14-Aug 15,643 Reneé Rapp - BITE ME

12-Jun  9,908    Ed Sheeran - +-=÷× (Tour Collection)

05-Jun  9,684    Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet

A moot point of course because at the end of the day, both artists/their labels chose this week. Also they wouldn't necessarily have sold as much if they'd released in previous weeks.

Yeah but they didn't know about 21p when they set that date and Jade wanted it out earlier and there were so many weeks this summer with no competition whatsoever she could have gotten number 1. Its a blatant lack of faith

Edited by Henessy Lake

I think either way, it seems she's done well enough to hopefully guarantee a second album so that's something to celebrate.

Be good if it can last a few weeks on the chart as well.

I meant Sabrina...

I'm just saying there's a lack of faith there. Hopefully hopefully they do her better on her second album and there's still a deluxe coming. She will get that number 1 one day.

Cmon team Jade pull put all the stops for at least 3, top 3 sounds so much better than top 5 😅
