Four albums in and the Canadian duo are still sounding as great as ever. Purity Ring is out this week and continues their delve into the world of synth pop / future pop / dream pop. They were one of my favourite bands in the 2010s and my interest did drift off a little bit when Womb was released in 2020 but this does feel like a strong return to form.

Liking the variety in this. Having 'imanocean' and 'many lives' in the same album is natural.

This week has been absolute carnage for new album releases, so not heard in full, but just listened to 'the long night' and it's the best song I've heard by them in ages
