In last place is Holidays, Conan's depiction of things moving on and never quite being the same - ever-evolving - when you come back to where you came from, while still a lovely song does stand out as a weak link. While likely never released with the intention of doing big things it's one that could possibly crop up in a few festive-themed playlists and have you sit up and take notice among a sea of camp Christmas bangers. While Conan reflects on the familiarities and comforts that get him through the holiday season, and continues to show off his effortless storytelling style, this is probably a single that fans won't be yearning for to see them through.Four studio albums into his career and with a handful of non-album singles you'd assume Conan might have more collaborations than he does especially considering the company he keeps and the friendships he's made in the business. Although we know for sure he has co-written songs with Olivia Rodrigo, 2020 single Fake, with Lauv, is the only one thus far to be released. I'm listening to it now typing this and feel I scored it too harshly because it is a great song and the music video is a lot of fun. A lot simpler on the songwriting front than we're used to from Conan compared to... pretty much every other single but it's nice (?) to see and hear - with Lauv's assistance - some sass and attitude. Here's hoping, if rumours are to be believed Conan's also co-written with Chappell Roan, we may not be too far off an eventual second collaboration.
Tuesday at 18:591 day The bottom 2 I would have predicted! I actually do really like Holidays (evident by my 7) and look forward to hearing it more in a couple of months. I think Fake is a fun and catchy song - definitely an outlier in Conan's catalogue but it is more Lauv's song of course. Interesting that this is so far Conan's one and only collaboration!
Yesterday at 06:311 day I did predict they would be around the bottoms but they aremt bad tracks at all
