Not being raised up in the slightest are Brian Kennedy and Peter Corry. Westlife’s cover of “You Raise Me Up” had just hit #1 when George Best died in November 2005, and this was performed at his funeral. It was then released as a single with proceeds going to the George Best Foundation, and peaked at #4 in January 2006.
