November 7Nov 7 Author Top 10 time and kicking this off is the lead single from Midnights, Anti-Hero. Released in the October 2022 it shot to #1 in more than 10 countries and would also be the 4th best selling single of the year in Australia, the UK and the US. This is probably my favourite Taylor Swift single from her last four to five albums. White Horse places in 9th and this has been a favourite of mine ever since hearing it. There's just a certain charm to it for me, it easily in my top 2 from Fearless alongside You're Not Sorry. A duo of Speak Now singles in at #8 and #7 in Back To December and The Story Of Us. Both of these are absolute gems for me and are amongst my most favourite early career Taylor Swift songs for me. I love going back to Speak Now and revisiting these songs. Just missing the top 5 at #6 is Style. For quite a while this was my least favourite single from 1989 but over the past 5 or so years its really grown on me, like many of Taylor's other songs.StyleThe Story Of UsBack To DecemberWhite HorseAnti-Hero
November 7Nov 7 Author Only 5 remain, in alphabetical order:All To Well (+10min version)Blank SpaceCruel SummerGetaway CarWildest DreamsI'm hoping to have the top 5 done tomorrow.
November 7Nov 7 Antihero definitely a top 5 song if hers it was absolutely the right choice from midnights to lead do love the songs when shes self awareWhite horse was obsessed with this when it came out still a great track but I go back to it less and less these daysBack to December another one I was obsessed with when Speak now cane out its still top 5 from speak now but used to be top 2 for meThe story of us, I was pretty much obsessed with the whole album but this was definitely top 5 from speak now for me think it still is reallyStyle good track but controversial opinion alert i personally think its one of her more overrated singles 🙈Im assuming I can see you has been ommitted because it wasn't an official single even if it got video treatment I'll give thoughts on top 5 when you revealed your order Edited November 7Nov 7 by 777666jason
November 8Nov 8 Author No I didn’t include I Can See You, it might’ve been an oversight. It was a bit tricky finding a comprehensive list of singles. I think I did ok though.
November 8Nov 8 No worries just realised then when I was talking about speak now tracks and some falling down the list ICSY is why 🤣
November 8Nov 8 Author I don't know if I've actually listened to I Can See You. I probably should check it out.
November 9Nov 9 Author After a little less than 2 weeks I'm finally down to my top 5. Kicking things off at #5 is the runaway success of Red (Taylor's Version) and possibly all the Taylor's version releases, it's All To Well / 10min version. I first heard this when it was sent for one of the round of the BuzzJack Artist Forum completion in 2020 and I was drawn into it straight away. The story telling and lyrics are sublime and its just such a well crafted pop song. I'm happy Taylor released the 10 minute version and that this song finally got the success it deserved. #4 is the second single from the mega smash album 1989, Blank Space. Upon release I found this to be a little annoying to be honest, though not as annoying as Shake It Off. This song however is a classic example of a slow burner for me, over the last 10 years my love for it has grown each year. Just not enough to replace any of the top 3 which are ones I've loved since the moment I'd heard them.Wildest Dreams take out the bronze medal in 3rd place for me. There is just something so charmingly beautiful about this song and it's always been my favourite song from 1989 and for a while it was my favourite Taylor Swift song. I also really like Ella Henderson's cover of this she performed in the Live Lounge for BBC back in 2015. 2nd place goes to the the Australian and New Zealand single Getaway Car. I absolutely love this song and from about 2017 until just recently this was my favourite Taylor Swift song, I just wish it got a proper global single release so we could get a music video and also so it could've been the mega smash it so deserved to be. The winner and probably most predictable one as well is Cruel Summer. I'd never heard this until it blew up everywhere in 2023, so for me it was like a completely new song and I think that's what has helped it clinch this for me. Saying that though I can easily see this dropping to 2nd place and Getaway Car reclaiming 1st in the future. The success that Cruel Summer had, which I presume is from the Eras Tour is just astounding. the 8th best selling song in Australia in 2023 and 9th best selling song in 2024. The 11th best selling song in the UK for both 2023 and 2024 and the 18th and 12th best selling song in the US over the same period. It really was everywhere.Cruel SummerGetaway CarWildest DreamsBlack SpaceAll To Well + 10min version
November 9Nov 9 Author For those of you following along thank you and to those that commented along the way a big thank you!I really enjoyed taking a journey through Taylor's single discography.
