November 7, 2025Nov 7 I'm glad the proper version is on Spotify now, the alarm bell at the start of 'Get Together' always disconcerted me on the previous one
November 7, 2025Nov 7 What’s everyone’s thoughts on the cover? I like it as an alternative version, it is very Tina Tuner ‘Acid Queen’ and also reminds me of the ‘Music Inferno’ performance (think it’s from the backdrop).Someone also pointed out her body makes an ‘X’ shape which is the Roman numeral for 20.
November 8, 2025Nov 8 It doesn't mean much but it is now #1 on UK iTunes! The cover doesn't compare to the original in my opinion but she's had a lot worse!

November 9, 2025Nov 9 Listened to this again yesterday and it was so nice to relive this masterpiece the way it was intended to be heard. I also played it to my partner who had never heard it back in the day and she loved it. I can't remember hearing Fighting Spirt before but definitely remember Super Pop, so I must have come across it back in the day on an MP3 site or something. It's interesting to hear the alternative direction the album could have gone in but I think the correct choice of producer was made. The Archigram remix of Hung Up is brilliant, never heard that one before. Love the crunching electro feel to it, will definitely add that to my keepers playlist.
November 9, 2025Nov 9 I can’t remember the bonus tracks, even though I’ve definitely heard of them. History is my favourite of them and I’d have probably preferred that as a final track over Like It Or Not. It’s got a Hung Up vibe to it which would have brought the album full circle. It does feel weird that it’s been 20 years though
November 9, 2025Nov 9 I like 'Like It Or Not' in a way, but these days it does feel like a bit of an "eh" way to close the album. 'History' as the last track really would've been way better.

November 9, 2025Nov 9 I agree, a deluxe physical would have done well I think. A shame it hasn’t materialised

I’ve always thought some of the production sounded similar to Jump so it was fitting that it was the B-side to the single.
