“Nothing endures but change. There is nothing permanent except change. All is flux, nothing stays still.” – Heraclitus

As we look back at 2025, it’s been yet another rollercoaster year of transformation. While I’ve found strength in the good—remaining steady in my job, making new friends online, and reconnecting with old friends both near and far—there have also been challenges. Personal struggles, moments of mental health battles, and the weight of less time to immerse myself in the music community have been tough to navigate. Despite this, the highs have been rewarding, and the lows have made me more resilient.

As the year draws to a close, it’s time to reflect and celebrate the best that 2025 offered through my Year-End Lists. First up, I’ll be counting down the Top 10 Albums of the Year, highlighting the albums that shaped my listening experience over the past twelve months. I can’t wait to reveal which album will take the crown this year and follow Radical Optimism by Dua Lipa as the Album of the Year for 2025.

And then, the big event: the Top 250 Songs of the Year. This will be a deep dive into the tracks that truly stood out to me in 2025, each one leaving its mark in different ways.

Before we bid farewell to 2025, let’s take a look at my personal top 10 songs of last year:

  6. Alessia Cara – “Dead Man”

  7. Dua Lipa – “Illusion”

  8. Annalisa – “Euforia”

  9. Annalisa – “Sinceramente”

  10. Sabrina Carpenter – “Espresso”

  • ÁSDÍS – “Touch Me”

  • Ella Langley – “Weren’t For The Wind”

  • HAIM – “Relationships”

  • The Kolors – “PRONTO COME VA”

  • Vella – “All My Love”

Stay tuned as I unveil the rankings, celebrate the songs and albums that made 2025 unforgettable, and share some tracks that you might have never heard before. I’ll be sure to include links for any songs you want to discover along the way! Starting tomorrow with the top 10 albums of the year!

Here’s to more growth, more music, and more memories in 2025.

P.S. Hoping this time to finish it in time and not delay it into months, but with my busy schedule, you'll never know!

I use a website named Crownnote for my charts and compiling my top 100, or in this case my top 250 :) Makes it more easier for a busy person like me.

I Barely Know Her is packed with raw emotion, effortlessly blending sleek modern production with a level of vulnerability that cuts straight through the noise. This album isn’t just catchy — it’s cathartic, textured, and brimming with heart. A striking introduction to an artist who clearly has so much more to say.

9. Olivia Dean - The Art Of Loving

ab67616d0000b2739a336bfb6d40bbd90a507417

With The Art of Loving, Olivia Dean proves once again that she’s one of the most captivating voices of her generation. Her songwriting glows with emotional clarity — tender, wise, and effortlessly intimate. Every track feels like a moment suspended in time, a soft confession whispered in the quiet hours of the night. Dean writes about love with a grace that’s both timeless and deeply personal, turning everyday feelings into cinematic vignettes. It’s the kind of album that wraps around you gently and lingers long after the last note fades. Dean isn’t just rising — she’s settling into her place as a true modern storyteller.

8. Alessia Cara - Love & Hyperbole

250px-%22Love_%26_Hyperbole%22_%282025%2

Alessia Cara steps into a new era with Love & Hyperbole, her most assured and fully realized work yet. What makes this album stand out is the confidence radiating from every corner—her songwriting is sharper, her delivery more grounded, and the sonic palette richer than ever. Trading her familiar pop beats for warmer, organic textures that flirt with soft rock, Cara crafts a sound that feels both refreshing and unmistakably her own. It’s the kind of album where the growth is undeniable: cohesive, groovy, and full of heart. Love & Hyperbole isn’t just a return to form—it’s a leveling up.

Happy to see you here! Hope that you can stick around for the both lists!

I knew that she would have a new album, because I love both "Dead Man" and "(Isn't It) Obvious" and she announced an album, the singles were the strong point, but her album is a great listen, my favourite Alessia Cara album to date.

7. Teddy Swims - I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2)

81tPH7uq-dL.jpg

After some overexposure, this album was a genuine surprise. Part 2 finds Teddy Swims refining his radio-ready sound while still delivering songs that hit with real weight. Tracks like “Bad Dreams” showcase his strength perfectly: big hooks, emotional vocals, and production that slaps without feeling hollow. Even at its most polished, the album keeps its soul intact, proving Teddy can balance mainstream appeal with heartfelt performance. A strong, enjoyable listen that reaffirmed his staying power.

Vella’s All My Love is one of those albums that feels effortless yet deeply intentional. She blends R&B and soul with pop in such a natural way, letting emotion lead every track. What truly elevates the record is her voice — powerful, warm, and expressive — the kind that gives you chills without trying too hard. Each song feels honest, intimate, and full of heart. It’s an album that stays with you long after it ends, and it absolutely deserves far more recognition than it’s getting. 🕯️

4. HAIM - I Quit

Haim_-_I_Quit.png

I Quit feels unmistakably HAIM while still pushing their sound forward in a confident, fully realized way. It’s the kind of album that sounds like a destination — where they’ve always been heading — with some of their most refined and accomplished songwriting to date. I love how the instruments are given as much emotional weight as the vocals; they don’t just support the songs, they shape them. Every detail feels intentional, making the album not just a continuation, but a true evolution of HAIM’s artistry.

2. Leony - Oldschool Love

81+HkUHxjYL._UF350,350_QL80_.jpg

Leony’s Oldschool Love is an absolutely standout album and a major step up from her already strong debut Somewhere In Between. She effortlessly blends country influences with dance-pop, creating a sound that feels fresh, warm, and confident. Even though most the collaborations aren’t my favorite part, they make sense in bringing more attention to an artist who’s still criminally underrated. At its core, this album proves how versatile and compelling Leony is — and it deserves far more love than it’s getting.

Charting songs from the album:

01 Simple Life

03 The Weekend (with Imran)

03 By Your Side (In My Mind)
