I guess this isn't surprising at all because it has been mentioned through some other interviews, but The Sun is also confirming that Leona Lewis will release a new album next year.

Next year Leona will release her first non-Christmas album in more than a decade.

Confirming our exclusive story, Leona said: "I've actually been in and out of the studio for the past couple of years. It's been a real labour of love and I'm planning to share music next year."

It'll be great to have some new Leona Lewis music. I'm hoping she's been working with some good song writers and producers.

About damn time! It’s mad to think the last time she released an album was before Trump ever became president. Like WTF.

Good to hear that she is doing a new album, i dont see it been anything more than a 1 week wonder which is fine as thats the way it is for most albums now but for fans its still great to get.

Im sure at some point she will also release a greatest hits.

I hope they at least get as much out of it as possible. Her last album charting at #17 suggests to me that a lot of people probably didn't even know that she released one, especially considering her huge success early doors, but with a spring release you couldn't even tie it in with X Factor.

At least get her a load of promotional spots. If it still doesn't chart highly, at least you've done all that can be possibly done for an artist in her position.

I think it was difficult for her though. It was her first album since being dropped by Syco quite a while after the Glassheart era had shown she was on a clear downward trajectory, the first single a few months before the album had missed the top 40 and the other two releases preceding it basically went completely unnoticed.

Looking forward to it. Been far too long since we got an album and an especially dry year for Leona fans. First year we haven't had any new music whatsoever (bar a teaser in one of her 'everything's a ballad' series) since she debuted in 2006!
