Might still give this a chance despite all the mess the franchise has made post-Endgame, like doing too many TV series (when the movie format clearly worked better) and their bad CGI.

  • The only movie I liked this year was Thunderbolts so I have very low expectations on marvel right now. Spider Man better be good or don't know if I'll care at all for this movie

I’m SO hyped. I’ve been a longtime fan and the last phase or two I have enjoyed more than most.

Apparently this is more of a sequel to Endgame? But I suspect it starts off that way and then it gets into the characters like Fantastic 4/Thunderbolts/X-Men etc..

The story is supposed to be that Steve created a shift when he was travelling through time to put the stones back, which makes sense to me.

They really need this film to knock it out of the park for the fanboys and the casuals. Just from the sheer number of cameos and actors they have it will be really well imo. I think the issue is people are elss bothered about contained stories and we got used to seeing multiple characters in one film., so audiences want that now.

They are rereleasing Endgame in cinemas in September do you think it will help boost or hinder the hype for Doomsday

I wish they’d re-release all 4 Avengers movies (like they did with Spider-Man last year). I’ve been wanting to see them all on the big screen again for a while!

But I’m hyped for this and I can actually see this doing some solid numbers for a re-release of it’s calibre.

The only time Disney have re-released any of the MCU movies was with ‘Endgame’ towards the tail end of it’s run to help push it past Avatar at the Box Office (which Avatar got back due to a post-Covid re-release)

Edit: also the 3rd Trailer has leaked and although I’ve avoided majority of it, the very short snippet I have seen… I’M HYPED AF!

Yeah id like it to take back the crown from avatar 🤣🤣 but knowing James Cameron he'd just rerelease avatar again for the 10th time 🤣

Total DISASTER. Super expensive, massive egos, shitty Marvel plot - check out Ultron for more exsmples of atrocipud Marvel writing... Thid id gonna be a RIGHT TURKEY!!

Wonder if every bloc gets a teaser like this. Guardians of the Galaxy or Sam Wilson might be next, and Spider-Man will become the final teaser.

It’s apparently being released on the same day as Dune part 3. I’m hoping one of them gets either brought forward or pushed back a week

Surely both films will want to debut number 1 at the box office. And Avengers has the edge over Dune to do that.

Maybe Warner Bros might change the date to avoid the clash as Avengers will most likely get it. Fox moved Simpsons 2 to avoid clashing with Minecraft 2 and shame Oppenheimer got denied number 1 by Barbie. As for Lilo & Stitch, I expected that to block the final Mission: Impossible

Releasing alongside Barbie actually HELPED Oppenheimer, imo. Oppenheimer wouldn't have touched anywhere near the numbers that it did if it wasn't for "Barbenheimer". 2 very different movies that largely appealed to different audiences. So it worked.

This won't work quite as well. The Dune franchise isn't anywhere near the level of the MCU (yet???) so idk what Warner Brothers are even thinking... they're going to be missing out on vital "Premium Format Exclusive Screens" for it... They should push back to middle of January and get 2-4 weeks exclusivity in IMAX Screens or something. January is always a dud month so if they released then, the hype would be quite something. They could even get a record for January Box Office or something, but then again WB have a ridiculously short release window before they get their stuff out on digital so people will only have to wait like 3 weeks before it's available to download/stream...
