Nice start for Kylie this week, i know its going to fall fast like all the Christmas songs this week but my goal for Kylie this week was to stay top 100 and its likely she will manage it now.

Like wedding planning for her is like going to Walmart for us mortals. And making songs comes naturally for her specially considering she is the principal contributor of songwriting. She might as well get a melody halfway through labor of her first kid 💀

To be fair, Opalite has been playlisted by Radio 1 which does confirm it as the new single, but that's not how the OCC do the resets anyway (and we don't actually know that Opalite hasn't also been reset yet!)

COME ON RAYE!! She's been so unlucky with releasing the remix and extra physicals on the wrong week, she gained traction only for Wham! to overtake now Taylor's been reset and she's behind again.

I'll be gutted if it doesn't ever make it

radio 1 is still a tricky source, they can playlist nearly any song they want since they are funded by the government (take Charli’s ‘B2B’, Jade’s ‘It Girl’ or Gr***e’s ‘Blowing Smoke’, none of which were singles, it girl and b2b both being promo singles tho). But for ‘Opalite‘ we can guarantee its the next single thanks to the delayed add

Having followed Radio 1 for years, they only actually playlist songs that are officially sent as singles (other than "tracks from" albums, in lieu of a single choice), it's the best source we have in the UK for what is and isn't a single here.

taylor is falling FAR behind on streaming so if she ships the physicals quick enough its an easy win

yea i guess but labels can also send stray songs to fill in gaps without having a massive marketing campaign for them, however ‘Opalite’ is literally just copy pasting the run of ‘Lavender Haze’ so 😂
