Interesting rule change for the Hundred in that they are allowed 4 overseas players. On the one hand, it hinders local talent (not much time in the middle), on the other it helps local talent watch the overseas players perform, and talk to them.

Definitely on the podium but I reckon Starc did it all to wrap it up in the first two tests

Normally I would agree, just feel that Head's century and the way he went about it broke England in Perth, setting the tone for the whole series. I think England has a lot to think about as Australia

A major result for Irish cricket, I was actually tempted to go to it!

I've not been watching much of The Hundred, it's a fairly meaningless competition. Nobody cares who wins it. I can see how it can appeal to families wanting a day out which explains how it still fills up the grounds.

Instead, I've been watching Middlesex's 50 over matches on youtube. That was an exciting match against Durham today which they won right at the end thanks to three sixes from Toby Roland-Jones and Henry Brookes. It's good to see their young team top of group B with two matches left.

Pakistan have reacted to losing the Test series. Not quite sure why two of the players were dropped when they weren't in the playing 11. Final test in the series ftom Edgbaston on the 9th September.

Also, the England women's ODI series against Ireland starts today. The captain will be Charlie Dean as Nat Sciver Brunt continues to manage her calf injury.

The England women have won the series against Ireland. They are 2-0 up in the series with one game to go on Sunday.

Amazing finish to the last Test in the series. One change certainly worked on the pitch, not sure about the others.

I'm thrilled to see Middlesex win their first 50 Over One Day Cup Final since 1990. They were in real trouble at 71-5 but Ryan Higgins and Harry Duke batted really well to give them a chance although the score of 231 was still below par. Leicestershire got into a good position to win but Tom Helm turned it around with the wicket of Nick Kelly towards the end. Superb bowling by Toby Roland-Jones and Naavya Sharma as well.

An extraordinary match in Rawalpindi, England captain Harry Brook hits the fastest double century in a One Day International, scoring 202 from 116 balls, beating a record that was set just a few weeks ago by Shubman Gill for India. He still ends up on the losing side with Sri Lanka chasing down a target of 430 with one ball left. It's the second highest successful run chase in an ODI.
