July 27Jul 27 Interesting rule change for the Hundred in that they are allowed 4 overseas players. On the one hand, it hinders local talent (not much time in the middle), on the other it helps local talent watch the overseas players perform, and talk to them.
August 7Aug 7 I've not been watching much of The Hundred, it's a fairly meaningless competition. Nobody cares who wins it. I can see how it can appeal to families wanting a day out which explains how it still fills up the grounds.Instead, I've been watching Middlesex's 50 over matches on youtube. That was an exciting match against Durham today which they won right at the end thanks to three sixes from Toby Roland-Jones and Henry Brookes. It's good to see their young team top of group B with two matches left.
September 1Sep 1 Pakistan have reacted to losing the Test series. Not quite sure why two of the players were dropped when they weren't in the playing 11.
