  • NOVAK!!! Why did I ever doubt this guy, absolute monster. He has never lost an AO final. Alcaraz has never played in one. He can do this.

  • 19-year-old Andreeva is youngest French Open champion since Monica Seles in 1992. Maja no matter what happened she's had the best two weeks of her tennis career.

Sabalenka losing to a seemingly out of form Shnaider (judging by how the year has been for her) and getting a bagel out of it was not on my bingo card before this tournament started! Either or or a qualifier in Chwalinska making the final is one hell of a surprise result! Hoping it seals that Kostyuk or Andreeva will get their first slam here, preferably the former but I’ll be happy with either, both really deserve it.

Over on the men’s I’m just team anybody beside ATP’s version of Chris Brown, hoping Mensik will continue to stun and get rid of him before winning the whole thing.

Hoping for a repeat of Wimbledon, with an Italian man and a Polish woman winning. I'm ready for another completely random women's champion who never goes on to have any other notable success, it's been a while, and Mirra will get her slams at some point.

Zverev winning is just not even worth thinking about. Even if he goes two sets up in the final, I'll remain in denial.

Honestly, Zverat winning a grand slam is going to be the worst tennis result in my life time, I’m honestly gutted that he’s going to benefit from a bunch of situations and drop outs. Like he isn’t already arrogant.

Look at the run too -

Bonzi 95
Machac 43
Halys 90
De Jong (LL) 106
Jodar 29
Mensik 27

lol

Also, people have been so quick to try and put a dampener on Emma’s grand slam win because of her opponents rankings so I hope everyone looks to discredit his win too because that’s an absolute joke of a run. That run even for a 500 level win would be basic, let alone a Grand Slam.

If Zverev is to win a Slam, I'd be least unhappy it being this one as it was the scene of his horror injury from 2022 so it would be a nice full circle moment, for him at least.

Honestly would be fine with it happening again. I don't actively wish for bad things for people, but he, just isn't a good representation of tennis and the players, he is winning by basically just being in the right place at the right time whilst the draw has fallen apart around him with playing no one in the top 20.

I heard a reporter on TV today talking about Maja Chwalinska, and her story is incredible to me. From struggling with depression and taking a break from tennis, to not even having enough money to pay for accommodation for herself and her coach and having to ask people if someone could host them, and now she's earned more than she ever had in her entire life. It really shows that miracles can happen. I'm rooting for her in the final.

A very good friend of mine is Polish and we both love tennis, he’s been telling me about her potential for a little while and her story, she sounds great and she’s been playing some very great solid tennis!

The biggest thing to keep our eye out for is wether or not Wimbledon will honour her a main draw wild card because as it stands she’s in the qualies and that would just be craziness and to be fair, I’m a little fed up of people like Harriet Dart getting wild cards every year and doing little/nothing with the opportunity or nothing to earn it outright the following year.

Flávio Cobolli I need you to lock IN to this match on Sunday and be a legend. Absolutely cannot deal with Z****v winning a slam, he shouldn’t even be allowed to play.

Rooting for Mirra to come through tomorrow afternoon, she really deserves this with the trajectory she’s been on. Maja has had a great run and a great story behind her, but I’m just not sure if she’ll back the results up with consistency - if she wins this but doesn’t bother doing anything during the grass season I’ll be annoyed.

I'm just hoping so much that this withdrawal is a massive boost in chances for Cobolli. One less match, get him nice and ready for the final.

Although, the absolutely weirdest thing is him doing a press conference with Arnaldi who has withdrawn due to a viral illness, plus they said him and his team came to break the news of him withdrawing in person... Erm, why are you anywhere near him? lol

Absolutely thrilled for Mirra!! So deserved, Maja’s game just doesn’t have enough oomph to it at all but good on her for having a decent run.

Flávio to get the same success tomorrow pls
