Jack Draper says he is gaining confidence in his body after extending his winning return from injury by reaching the Eastbourne Open semi-finals with another encouraging straight-set victory.

Contesting his first tournament in more than two months after he sustained a knee injury in April's Barcelona Open, Britain's former world number four Draper beat Canada's Gabriel Diallo for his third straight win on the south coast this week.

The 24-year-old maintained a high level throughout and fired in 22 winners while making just four unforced errors during the 69-minute contest.

Draper has endured a challenging period in his career, with injuries to his arm, knee and shoulder disrupting his progress over the past year.

Draper, 24, had earned three consecutive straight-set wins to reach the semi-finals at his first tournament in more than two months, after he sustained a knee injury at the Barcelona Open in April.

The former world number four gained more valuable time on court before turning his attention to Wimbledon, but he lost 7-5 6-3 after 100 minutes in sapping conditions against the 30th-ranked Humbert.

Draper, who has fallen to 160th in the world amid his injury struggles, learned on Friday he will meet American sixth seed Taylor Fritz in a tough opening assignment at Wimbledon, which begins on Monday.

Two weeks of rooting for Zverev to lose at some point because honestly, I don’t think Carlos is ready and I already live in denial that he won a GS this year because it’s the easiest run to a title anyone will ever have. But to block out two gets a bit harder.

Katie Boulter has fallen 6-0 6-1 to Karolina Muchova and honestly it was a combo of the former having nothing working and the latter being in god mode. I would actually rather Katie have lost this way if it means Karolina can go far and even win this slam after missing out on her second final.
