Kimi himself has said he made a mistake by lifting so much becaue he misread the signal.The only part that's contentious is whether it should be a double waved yellow but since that is defined under the 2026 regulations as a car partially blocking the circuit or marhsalls within the circuit boundary, this is a non starter at the time. It became a double yellow as the marshall proceeded to remove the car.
