Blues new album was released on Friday and i have just had my first listen through and i am surprised at how good it is.

Who the hell choose the first 4 promo songs as they are not the best songs.

Standout tracks

  1. Look What You Started

  2. You Should Know

  3. Where I Come From

  4. Neon Honey

  5. All About Us

Their last album reached number 22 and was in the charts for only one week. Reflections is a better album.

  • The first 5 tracks on this are really strong, then there's a bit of a drop off until we get to 'Beautiful Spiritual'. An intriguing return from them though, I'm rooting for #1.

Cooking Vinyl label have released this album , i guess they must be happy with the midweek position!!

I haven't listened to the album yet but I am pleasantly surprised at them being at #1 in the midweeks, especially considering the last album only got to #22.

Whether it sustains that position is another matter, but I doubt it'll fall as far as that. Would long-time Blue fans say it's one of their better records?

They're about 3,000 ahead at present.

I don't know if they will be able to hold on but I hope they do.

Number 2 in the end with 15,737. Previous opening weeks:

137,499 - All Rise (#1, 2001)

117,510 - One Love (#1, 2002)

88,879 - Guilty (#1, 2003)

58,336 - Best of Blue (#6, 2004)

8,381 - Roulette (#13, 2013)

8,586 - Colours (#13, 2015)

3,521 - Heart & Soul (#22, 2022)

Totals:

1,426,478 - One Love

1,319,390 - All Rise

690,539 - Best of Blue

661,599 - Guilty

47,441 - 4Ever Blue

That’s a great result for them really, highest album in 20+ years and way more sales than their last 3 albums !
