It’s also #2 on UK iTunes only behind Drakes ICEMAN. Not sure how many sales this equates too but get those sales Godga?! Can you also buy this on any other format (like Amazon.)

I pray it gets a CD / Vinyl release at some point!

Interestingly Shadow of a Man played during the announcement. That also played when she first teased the Mayhem era at the end of the Chromatica Ball. Full circle vision!

I think the show is available on Amazon Prime, but I’m not actually sure if it’s available to be purchased thus not sure if it count towards the charts unsure.

So at the moment it isn’t actually chart eligible! (This is from google AI)

No, Mayhem Requiem is currently not eligible for the main UK Official Albums Chart. [1]

The primary reason for its exclusion is the format of its distribution:

  • Exclusive Platform Streaming: Apple Music Live: Lady Gaga MAYHEM Requiem was released as a platform-exclusive live performance and Spatial Audio live album available only to Apple Musicsubscribers.

  • Official Charts Eligibility Rules: To qualify for the main UK Official Albums Chart, a release must be broadly available across multiple competing retail and streaming platforms (such as Spotify, Amazon Music, and physical retail stores). Platform-exclusive promotional content generally does not count toward the main chart.

  • Lack of Commercial Formats: The project has not been made available as a standalone digital download purchase (like on iTunes) or a physical release (such as CD or vinyl) in the United Kingdom, which are required for standard chart tracking. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

While it cannot enter the overarching UK Official Albums Chart, the project is actively tracking on individual platform metrics, such as the UK Apple Music Top Albums streaming chart. [1]

I suspect it might’ve sold enough downloads to have charted at least similarly to how Harlequin did before that got a full release!

‘Mayhem: Requiem’ has been made available as a standalone download though on iTunes, as that’s how I purchased the songs and live performances in one go for £11.99, so there’s some inaccuracies in Google AI.

I don't understand the rule that it has to be available on multiple platforms. How come Amazon exclusive Christmas songs can chart then? unsure

Album vs song?

There's absolutely nothing in the album chart rules to say an album has to be available on multiple platforms: https://www.officialcharts.com/getting-into-the-charts/meeting-the-chart-rules/

I'm almost certain it is eligible, the Google AI summary has no valid sources at all, it's complete rubbish.

Album downloads are next to nothing so it's going to be very difficult for it to chart based on that as well as the streams of these versions alone.
