I live in hope that there is one classic ballad left in them

Posted Images

Take That shared the new song, You’re A Superstar, in the closing credits of the final episode of their three-part Netflix documentary.

The pop trio — Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen — slipped a surprise new track into the finale of the tell-all series, and it’s now been confirmed that the song comes from their first album since 2023’s This Life.

An insider told The Mirror: “The band thought it would be a great surprise and a treat for fans at the end of the Netflix series. It’s a great way to tease their new material and the full single will be coming soon.”

Gary confirmed a new album was underway last year, but admitted he would prefer to just keep dropping singles.

Sounds a lot like the Wonderland album stuff.

I really would love them to do another classic ballad at some point.

Take That release brand new single – You’re A Superstar

20/03/2026 By Jo Forrest

Take That

Take That have released a brand new single, You’re A Superstar, which marks the band’s first piece of new music since 2023 album This Life. The new single drop comes as Gary, Mark and Howard gear up to head out on the road with The Circus Live, their 2026 tour encompassing 17 stadium dates in eight cities across the UK and Ireland.

You’re A Superstar is vintage Take That; with its driving beat, soaring chorus, heartfelt lyrics and classic harmonies, it’s the first taste of the band’s forthcoming 10th studio album, due to be released later in the year with full details currently under wraps.

The track was previously teased in the smash hit Netflix documentary ‘TAKE THAT’, which premiered on 27th January. The documentary went straight to number 1 on the Netflix UK series charts upon release and made headlines worldwide, with media and fans alike praising the 3-part series as an insightful look at the band’s extraordinary journey. Produced by Fulwell Entertainment, the series spanned 35 years and was created using rare archive, never-before-seen footage, personal material plus brand new interviews with Gary, Howard and Mark.

This summer, the band are back on the road with the return of one of their biggest and most iconic live shows: The Circus Live. Originally staged in 2009, The Circus Live broke UK records as the fastest-selling tour in history, with over 600,000 tickets sold in under 5 hours, and over one million fans attending the sell-out shows across the UK and Ireland. Now, more than 17 years later, Take That are ready to bring the magic back for a whole new generation of fans, and for those who were there the first time, with the chance to revisit one of the most groundbreaking live productions in UK pop history – bigger and bolder than ever.

The tour will kick off at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on 29th May, with the band playing 17 stadium dates across eight cities overall, including four nights at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and three at the London Stadium.

They've long lost their spark for me, this does nothing to convince me they show any signs of it returning.

I agree, I long for them to release something I love again.
