Bruno Mars’ ‘I Just Might’ Spends Second Week at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

By Gary Trust | 1/26/2026

Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” adds a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song launched a week earlier as his 10th career leader, and his first to debut in the top spot.

“I Just Might” introduces the superstar’s album The Romantic, due Feb. 27. The single also crowns the multimetric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot R&B Songs charts for a second week each.

Meanwhile, “Ordinary,” by Mars’ Atlantic Records labelmate Alex Warren, claims a 27th week at No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart, tying Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” for the longest command in the ranking’s history. “Ordinary” holds at No. 5 on the Hot 100.

Plus, Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” at No. 6 on the Hot 100, ascends to No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart.

“I Just Might” tops the Hot 100 with 17.1 million official streams and 40.8 million radio airplay audience impressions and 9,000 sold in the United States Jan. 16-22.

The single slips a spot to No. 2 on Streaming Songs; jumps 12-9 on Radio Songs, becoming Mars’ 21st top 10; and posts a second week at No. 1 on Digital Song Sales.

Mars has now topped the Hot 100 for two or more weeks with eight of his 10 career No. 1s (led by a 14-week reign as featured on Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk!” in 2015). Of artists with 10 more No. 1s, his 80% rate of leading for multiple weeks is the highest among solo males, padding his lead over Michael Jackson. Among all acts, he ties Janet Jackson for second-best, after Mariah Carey’s 89% mark.

Here’s a look at the staying-power percentages of all acts with 10 or more Hot 100 No. 1s:

89% of Hot 100 No. 1s have led for multiple weeks, Mariah Carey (17 of 19)

80%, Janet Jackson (8 of 10)

80%, Bruno Mars (8 of 10)

75%, The Beatles (15 of 20)

71%, Rihanna (10 of 14)

67%, The Supremes (8 of 12)

64%, Whitney Houston (7 of 11)

62%, Taylor Swift (8 of 13)

58%, Madonna (7 of 12)

54%, Michael Jackson (7 of 13)

50%, Stevie Wonder (5 of 10)

38%, Drake (5 of 13)

Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” adds a 27th week at No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart (63.4 million in audience), matching Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” for the longest rule, dating to the ranking’s start in December 1990.

Here’s an updated rundown of the longest-leading Radio Songs No. 1s:

27 weeks, “Ordinary,” Alex Warren, beginning June 28, 2025

27, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Shaboozey, Aug. 10, 2024

26, “Blinding Lights,” The Weeknd, April 18, 2020

18, “Flowers,” Miley Cyrus, Feb. 25, 2023

18, “Iris,” Goo Goo Dolls, Aug. 1, 1998

16, “Girls Like You,” Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B, Aug. 4, 2018

16, “We Belong Together,” Mariah Carey, May 28, 2005

16, “Don’t Speak,” No Doubt, Dec. 7, 1996

15, “Easy On Me,” Adele, Dec. 4, 2021

14, “High Hopes,” Panic! at the Disco, Dec. 1, 2018

14, “No One,” Alicia Keys, Nov. 3, 2007

14, “Because You Loved Me,” Celine Dion, April 13, 1996

“Ordinary” is steady at No. 5 on the Hot 100 following 10 weeks at No. 1 beginning last June. It previously set the records for the most weeks spent atop the Adult Pop Airplay chart (30) and Pop Airplay (16). (Warm-weather reminder: It also wrapped at No. 1 on the 2025 Songs of the Summer chart.)

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” rises a spot to No. 1 on Streaming Songs (18 million streams). The singer-songwriter earns her first leader on the all-genre list.

The track retreats to No. 6 from its No. 5 Hot 100 high, as it leads the Hot Country Songs chart for a ninth week.

Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” climbs two places to a new No. 2 Hot 100 best.

Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” falls 2-3 on the Hot 100 after a career-best 10 weeks at No. 1 starting in October and HUNTR/X’s “Golden” descends 3-4 following eight weeks at the summit beginning last August.

Sombr’s “Back to Friends” returns to its Hot 100 high (8-7) and tops the multimetric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart for a 14th week.

Rounding out the Hot 100’s top 10, Kehlani’s “Folded” lifts 9-8 after hitting No. 7; Djo’s “End of Beginning” drops 7-9, off its No. 6 peak; and Swift’s “Opalite” holds at No. 10, after reaching No. 2.

Oh my at 'Trap Queen' returning in the top 40 cheeseblock

Also a new Pitbull/Lil Jon hit, ikonik - was wondering if that was a recent release that I didn't hear about or a ~2010 throwback but turns out it's neither, it came out in 2020! From the same soundtrack album as The Black Eyed Peas' 'RITMO (Bad Boys For Life)'. Though it did just get a music video a couple of months ago oddly, I presume it went somewhat viral a while ago and has just taken its time to actually chart?

Yay for the progress of Zara Larsson x3 and Jeff Buckley cracking the main chart as well x Shame a couple of my big highlights from the A$AP Rocky album only got on Bubbling Under but at least 'AIR FORCE (BLACK DEMARCO)' did make it! And ooh at 'Raindance' making it onto Bubbling Under at last - might still be a big ask for it to get onto the Hot 100 but that's better than nothing.

I think Raindance is going to be a huge hit in US (it went top 10 in most biggest European charts lately)

'Sprinter' was a big hit pretty much everywhere except the US iirc and stalled on Bubbling Under - I'd like to be wrong though, I guess the Tems collab might make it an easier sell. Just think if it's taken this long to even scrape onto Bubbling Under it'll have to keep growing a fair bit more to make it onto the main chart and I don't know if it has the juice left in it!

Crazy that ed charted for 18 weeks with camera (yes only peaked at 58) when it only lasted about 5 in the uk 😮

Olivia up to 2 hopefully she can get it 🙏
