February 4Feb 4 Author The British skeleton team - among Team GB's best hopes for medals at the Winter Olympics - have been told their helmets do not meet safety standards only days out from the competition starting.The British team have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for sport (Cas) after the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) said the helmets "did not comply with the IBSF skeleton rules based on its shape".The British Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association (BBSA) said the helmet was designed with safety in mind.

February 12Feb 12 Author Matt Weston underlined his status as the world's best skeleton pilot by setting the track record on his way to taking a significant halfway lead at the Winter Olympics.The two-time world champion - Team GB's biggest medal hope in Milan-Cortina -put down a statement second run to open an advantage of 0.30 seconds over the field, with two medal-deciding runs to come on Friday.Weston was the only slider under 56 seconds as he clocked 55.88secs in heat two, to add to his 56.21secs in run one on the new Cortina sliding track.

February 13Feb 13 Author Well done Matt Weston that was an flawless four runs, breaking the track record in his last two runs, quite brilliant. The first male individual British Winter Olympics gold medallist since Robin Cousins in Lake Placid 1980.

Saturday at 21:555 days Nice to see Janine Flock finally get her gold in the women's skeleton after missing out the last two Olympics! Some good performances for Team GB as well, not able to get a medal unfortunately but three in the Top 10 is a good result.

Sunday at 18:494 days Amazing, that beats our total for 2022 and doubles our amount of Golds from there (and we weren't far from an additional bronze in that event)!Especially impressive how Weston managed to turn that around when we were looking at 4th after that first run.
