Yesterday at 08:421 day I agree with you both that Cynthia knocked it out of the park as host and this was one of those episodes where pretty much every sketch was a banger!Nigerian Wicked Loved the return of 'Jools Holland' at the end too.It's going to feel like a loooong wait until this is back in January but at least they paused on such a high.
Yesterday at 11:491 day You can tell they’re a lot more used to everything now and I must say I’m really impressed by the show. Just goes to show how subjective comedy is, I enjoyed the last episode and thought the pre recorded sketches were great, but the live ones missed the spot for me outside of Weekend Update. Not a bad thing at all, that’s what sketch comedy is all about.. what one person loves someone else is indifferent to. Still think Danny Dyer is the best host this series and I suspect he’ll be the first person they ask to do it again. I do think this is the first time Weekend Update sat on the fence, think they could have had a lot of fun with Vittorio Angelone and the correct backlash he’s had, but also understand a lot of the cast are close to him.
Yesterday at 12:001 day Danny Dyer was a standout host for me too. Love how committed he was to the paint sketch
