Posted February 14Feb 14 This weekend is the 10th anniversary of the deaths of the 4 band members Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin along with their manager Craig Tarry, in a tragic road accident whilst on tour in Sweden. The band were from my hometown of Warrington, where a new tribute has been created in the town centre, of a āVā made from rainbow umbrellas. RIP šš¢
February 15Feb 15 RIP. š¢I remember reading about this when the news story broke. Utterly devastating!
February 15Feb 15 Author Yes aside from the horrendous human tragedy, they were a fantastically promising band and of course had a posthumous number 1 album. They were very well regarded locally. It hit our whole community very hard, one of the boys went to the same 6th form college as my daughter. Edited February 15Feb 15 by Jaz13music
February 15Feb 15 They had such tremendous promise. They took a brief break from supporting Blossoms on tour to go to Sweden. Shortly after the accident happened, I went to see Blossoms on that tour and they played a recording of a Viola Beach set at the time they would have played
February 16Feb 16 I never knew about them until I saw this on the news. I can't believe it's been 10 years already. RIP.
