Have been slowly reading through the thread whenever the site lets me load new pages... (seems to be ok again at the moment but it's been patchy off and on all evening). I gave up leaving reactions on posts after page 1 so pepper assorted 😮s and cheeseblocks from me throughout accordingly x

I was already surprised to see Tame Impala showing up at #5 on the Wednesday mids so even more taken aback to see him ending the week at #3, obviously it's a case of the numbers being very close moreso than the song taking off to a much greater extent during the week but that's still mad that he's secured a top 3 single now <3 also good to see 'Babydoll' cracking the top 10 and fingers crossed 'White Keys' still has enough left in the tank to join it there as well. 'Click Clack Symphony.' missing out this week is unfortunate, hope that will still get the opportunity to climb higher as well but not sure. Hooray for further new peaks for 'Midnight Sun', '(When You Gonna) Give It Up To Me' and 'Choosin' Texas' as well. Also not mad at 'Nice To Each Other' returning, poor brave 'Baby Steps' still not getting a chance to chart even with all of her other hits being on ACR now, but NTEO is still her best hit for me.

I've just listened to this week's top 100 newies, 'I Know You're Hurting.' isn't immediately doing it for me as much as the other hits from the RAYE album, I will give the full album a listen over the weekend so will see if it hits better in the context of the album. Understandable that Radio 1 still don't want to touch Ye (although given his recent apology and him seeming to finally be staying on his meds and not acting out, not that I expect that to last forever, it's a little odd that they seem to be going even further towards not acknowledging his existence than they did for the 'Vultures 1' era, I did not remember the apparently mistaken play of 'BURN', that is quite funny x) but I am enjoying 'FATHER' (and 'KING' for that matter) quite a bit as a song, on the strength of his older catalogue he is one of my favourite artists of all time and it's not like him losing his mind has made him lose the ability to make good music. 'ALL THE LOVE' is not as good, it goes on a bit too long. 'WAGWAN' is pretty mediocre on first listen so boo that it's charted higher than the other two much better hits from the Cench EP. Most of the week's other top 100 new entries are also not great but I'll save further commentary for my poll, great to see a solid debut for Malcolm Todd at least x (aside, I'd completely missed that he had a low top 100 hit last year as well (knew it charted in the US but not here) - that same song also being sort of in the chart again now via being sampled in Don Toliver's 'E85').

Someone in the production staff is not a fan of the Harry Styles album I fear - him going 1 for 6 in chart show plays in the last 2 weeks even with 'American Girls' having been top 10 in both weeks and the show having an extra 15 minutes this week lol
