The Vamps and Arrdee don't get played cos they are irrelevant, capital is still playing Joel and Sigala during the weekenders. Capital still play the Stormzy Remix of Shape Of You so he's not blacklisted either. As for the some of the others (e.g. Little Mix, Demi Lovato, George Ezra, Selena Gomez) it’s as simple as they are not on capital's recurrent playlist.

During hot weather, Capital does play the Selena version of Calm Down and also Capital Anthems have been playing it as well.

Speaking from experience as the amount of people I know who are disappointed she ‘ruined it’ by ‘making it uptempo’. 🙄
