Chart Recap | Week 21

PinkPantheress finally glides to #1 with Girl Like Me, completing one of the chart’s quieter success stories - the kind that sneaks up gradually, then suddenly sits at the top acting like it belonged there all along.🥳

Henri Moodie makes the week’s most dramatic move, soaring 28 places to #2 with comedown. A rise so excessive it almost deserves its own investigation, though the chart seems willing to move on quickly.

Sarah Connor slips slightly to #3 with Bye Bye, still sounding perfectly content despite the title, while Stephen Sanchez climbs back into the Top 5 with Love, Love, Love - proving once again that subtlety was never really part of the plan.

The Kolors cool off at #5 after last week’s surge, though Rolling Stones still feels engineered specifically for driving too fast with the windows down.

Further inside the Top 10, Manse jumps to #9 with Honest - always a risky thing to call a song this high on the chart - while Kygo & Carter Faith quietly continue surviving the traffic around them at #10.

Damiano David storms into the Top 15 with Tangerine, bringing a level of Mediterranean theatricality the chart had apparently been missing. Elsewhere, Naika finally starts drifting downward with One Track Mind after a long stay near the summit, while Niall Horan’s Dinner Party continues its very polite descent after eight weeks of excellent table service.

The week’s highest new entry belongs to GIMS, debuting at #19 with emprise - concise, stylish, and delivered with exactly the confidence you’d expect.

Morgan Wallen enters at #25 with Crazy Eyes, which sounds less like a song title and more like something friends mention carefully after a night out. Annalisa arrives at #28 with Canzone Estiva, officially opening the seasonal department of the chart several weeks ahead of schedule.

Lower down, older hits continue clearing the corridor: Save My Love somehow rebounds upward in week thirteen, refusing to accept retirement, while Be Her and Breaking Point both continue falling with admirable dignity.

Flashback travels back to 2022, led by Jack Harlow’s First Class - a period when charts briefly convinced themselves everyone was either impossibly cool or permanently unavailable. Meanwhile, the Chartbreaker section offers Florence Road’s Hanging Out To Dry and Tiziano Ferro & Giorgia’s Superstar - one emotionally exhausted, the other emotionally Italian. And over in Hot Streamer, Walk Off The Earth return immediately with legendary Enter Sandman, because apparently leaving the chart once this week simply wasn’t enough.

I like the name of your chart, it reminds me of when Apple phone autocorrect used to change the word airplay to AirPlay on buzzjack - the reason being that AirPlay was an Apple service.
