If after almost 10 years in the industry she still hasn’t been able to put out a decent debut album or single, and everything she’s released has been extremely generic, I can only imagine that this second solo project is going to be even worse… Such a shame. I always thought she’d be the one to be the most successful solo, but I think she’s proved that she was the voice of the group, and that’s about it.

If the Perrie era was considered experimental, she needs to go fully unhinged.

  • Please tell me she’s venturing out of her house to record with new people!

It’s pretty clear she still needs to go through a big developmental stage with her music, whereas Jade and Leigh started to do it whilst they were in the group. Hoping she chucks herself in with some

I think it's clear Perrie probably felt like she was stuck in a rut with Modest and the label.

Hopefully the second album (if it actually happens) brings about new idea's / producers / writers etc..

Apparently she’s now signed with Various Artists Management who manage Rose Gray, Tom Grennan, Melanie C, Cassyette…

Interesting move. I think she just wants to create an album for her now and not worry about chart success. Whatever comes out of it is great ofc, but I think there won’t be as much pressure to do much beyond opening week of the album.

Excited to hear what she comes up with though. I NEED a meaty, hearty, power ballad. The ballads on her debut didn’t do much for me.

FINALLY WORKING WITH SOMEONE BEHIND THE KIND OF SONGS I’VE BEEN DYING FOR HER TO GET!!!!

Him saying “her voice is incredible”… ong. We’re in for an all timer!

Just to put into perspective WHO he is btw:

  • Australia’s National Anthem: The Veronicas – Untouched

  • Beyoncé – If I Were a Boy

  • Demi Lovato – Skyscraper

  • Fergie – Big Girls Don't Cry

  • Jessie J – Who You Are

  • John Legend – All of Me

  • Nicole Scherzinger – Don't Hold Your Breath

  • Selena Gomez – A Year Without Rain

Literally some of these artists BEST songs… omg.

Glad she’s recording/writing again.

I noticed she didn’t post anything about a year of the first album and really hasn’t mentioned much about music in general lately. She was defensive and seemingly not happy with it when she was doing her last round of promo, so fingers crossed she can get more involved and develop further this time around.

Even saying she hasn’t really sung in about a year says a lot (although very happy for her having her little girl when she’s been open about what she’s been through).
