The BBC commentary team are wanting Gauff to win this, it's a bit like when they were almost being Serena's cheerleaders during her ill-advised first round match comeback defeat.

  • Arrogant, misogynistic, anti-vaxxer, the list goes on really. No discredit to him as a player but as a person, he’s pretty rotted.

  • Just be thankful we got to see Murray. Could be another 70 odd years before the next British Wimbledon champion.

Djoko’s fine, a bit predictable him winning but fine for his tennis skill and occasionally funny off the court

This Gauff Muchova match turning out quite the nice fight

How the tables have turned. Coco takes the second set. Of course Tracy Austin she would want an American to win this.

I don't know why they have Naomi Broady on the BBC team, whose best known for this:

you hit the ball boy with your racket

Looking set to go to an championship tiebreak between Muchova and Gauff.

Yes, fantastic Muchova has beaten Gauff 12-10 in the championship tiebreak. Happy days.

KAROLINA MUCHOVA!!!!!! That's MOTHER!! I was team Kostyuk for the win from the semi lineup but I think she might have just overtaken her! I'm thrilled with whoever wins out of either of them and Noskova too.

Apparently, being a vaxxer is a personality trait. I better put that on my CV 😄

All Czech final here we go!! I’m still sad to see Marta crash out after an incredible season she’s been having, it felt right for her to go all the way but I still love Linda and it’s been a great season for her too.

My favourite setup for a slam final in a long time 💙 I have reason to root for both so I can’t pick a favourite, but will hands down enjoy it!!

Marcelo Arevalo becomes the first player from El Salvador to win a title at Wimbledon by winning the mixed doubles with Jelena Ostapenko.

Whoever wins on Saturday will have done so after saving match point. Noskova against Cirstea and Muchova against Gauffl

Really hope Muchova takes it in the final, she feels well deserving of a slam now that she's made the last 4 (at least) of them all, and this seems like a great opportunity - before injury holds her back again. Noskova would just feel more random, despite being seeded a place higher.

I am beginning to get super anxious that the ZveRAT is going to win this.

The fact that it's highly likely he will even make the final is disgusting for me and honestly... if the final is him vs Novax, I really won't even watch because it will just be a case of "lesser of 2 evils" for me.

My gut says neither Zverev or Fery would beat Sinner in the final...it just depends whether Djokovic is able to pull a repeat of AO.

If we end up with a Zverev/Sinner final then I have no interest in watching how it plays out.

Fery loses first set 7-0 on the tiebreak. Great set from him though - he recovered from an early break to break straight back

The way he’s able to position shots to make up for the lesser amount of power in his strikes is fascinating.
