Bit stupid they’re pushing it now to be honest. It’s already locked for the year end list, they should’ve pushed something like Baby Steps

The latter part I have to disagree with. It’s one of my favourites on the album

I don't feel like it's been overly clear what has and hasn't been an actual single in the UK because of how popular she's been? This hasn't had a proper push, it just charted, so it would be nice if it gets a release over here too.

Strange decision, at least in the UK it feels like this has been and gone.

It has in the US too, it’s locked for the hot 100 year end

An absolutely stunning song and one of my favourites on the album, if she’s only pushed the ones that smashed over here then it makes sense.

I guess one of the main reasons why Island/Republic (her US labels) are pushing a song of hers is because Olivia begins a tour across the US and Canada tomorrow, so a 'current' song (well, I don't think the term 'current' seems the best to use, so 'active' might be an alternate?) is the most appropriate to do. Also, she's tipped as one of the main contenders to score nominations at the GRAMMYs, especially for Album of the Year, so they need to extend the era as much as they could if it's considered that there's not any new music of her in the horizon.

Is "A Couple Minutes" the best choice? It depends. The track already peaked at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 (based of streaming consumption) and it charted for 20 weeks, which means that it's eligible to re-enter to the Top 50 only if it gets the necessary consumption to do so. Radio will be an important key here, so let's see how it goes.
