There's often a couple of 'definitely not alternative' artists on the list; and the winner hasn't often gone to the most commercial looking artists anyway. Would have hoped for Gorillaz but with their history with the award wouldn't have expected them there.

A very bland, uninspiring list, a lot of these feel like they’re there just on name alone, I really don’t think this reflects the most culturally and critically acclaimed music of the last 12 months as a whole, a great feat for Jade though.

McCartneys album is great as is a few others but there’s some big ommisions too obv Mandy Indiana and Mary!

This year's performers are:

Dove Ellis

Florence and the Machine

JADE

Knats

Kojey Radical

Nia Archives

Olivia Dean

Pulp on behalf of HELP(2)

RAYE

Suede

so pretty much everyone except Dave and Paul McCartney.

my dreams of a 'The Boy Who Played the Harp' performance at an awards show dashed!

Flotence and Jade the most im hype to see but great list overall
