There's often a couple of 'definitely not alternative' artists on the list; and the winner hasn't often gone to the most commercial looking artists anyway. Would have hoped for Gorillaz but with their history with the award wouldn't have expected them there.

A very bland, uninspiring list, a lot of these feel like they’re there just on name alone, I really don’t think this reflects the most culturally and critically acclaimed music of the last 12 months as a whole, a great feat for Jade though.
