Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone on here produces music. It's always been a thing I'd love to get into and potentially make a career out of. Any tips on how to learn to produce and learning resources (e.g. YouTube videos) would be much appreciated!

I used to. My ‘new’ single came out this week! But I made it with the help of Dance eJay in the early 00s so can’t help with modern production.

I’ve tried GarageBand but not spent enough hours of practice to get very far beyond basic beats and keyboard input.

One day I’d like I make some more new music but GarageBand I would suggest is a good start.

Yeah I produced dance music in the past and would like to start again as I find a lot of current UK chart and beatport chart dance minimalist and boring.

Would love to have a good vocal to use too!

I've written/recorded loads of stuff and always used Reason and Cubase. But I know garageband is also supposed to be good. I suppose it depends what kind of music you're intending to make.
