January 28, 200718 yr More likely she will sell in the first week twice as Anastacia´s last album total. Oh yeah like she's going to sell 2.2 million in the uk in her first week :) Dickhead

January 28, 200718 yr It would be amazing if she did though wouldn't it? :o  Yup, as she would of killed 2.2million of Englands Population from boredom -_-
January 28, 200718 yr Oh yeah like she's going to sell 2.2 million in the uk in her first week :) Dickhead As if Anastacia´s last album had sold that much... not even worldwide.
January 29, 200718 yr The Klaxons will (hopefully) outsell her two to one. She'll sell more overall over the course, but the Klaxons have fans who know when albums are out and buy them in the first week, whereas Norah Jones albums are usually bought by middle aged people who went in looking for something for their latest dinner party.
January 29, 200718 yr Started watching her BBC1 performance last night but fell asleep on the settee half way through.
January 29, 200718 yr Started watching her BBC1 performance last night but fell asleep on the settee half way through. I started to nod off after the 3rd song as well, turned over to the South Bank awards and caught Russell Brand being hilarious giving an award, then Jarvis Cocker sang? something, what a godawful wailing racket it was. :o

And what a coincidence, last time she released an album 1.9 million people were in the shops during that week looking for something for a dinner party... 1 million in USA, almost 300k in UK, and no fans, only people making dinner parties. Because everyone knows it´s just indie bands who have real fans...
January 29, 200718 yr Yup, as she would of killed 2.2million of Englands Population from boredom -_- Wow, a diva with a powerful voice... All that we need to kill our boredom.
January 29, 200718 yr :nono: I will not tolerate yet more argument in here, with 'my diva is better than your diva' name calling. This was designed to discuss sales of Norah Jones (or not) so lets remain civil and stick to the subject matter, please.

Actually, there was a special offer on roast chicken that week in Marks & Spencer - the number of dinner parties shot through the roof. Damn that Norah Jones' intelligent opportunism.
January 29, 200718 yr Actually, there was a special offer on roast chicken that week in Marks & Spencer - the number of dinner parties shot through the roof. Damn that Norah Jones' intelligent opportunism. Seriously? In all the 20-something countries where her album debuted at #1? You really think people who buy these records have any interest other then the music itself, and any type of music that is not upbeat or rated by rock magazines cannot be honestly enjoyed by someone?
January 29, 200718 yr 01) 115,000 Norah Jones 02) 088,000 Klaxons 03) 057,000 Just Jack 04) 050,000 Jamie T
January 29, 200718 yr oh God... are there REALLY that many Snorah Jones fans? She drives me to catatonia.....

I'm joking... I also think it will sell a lot, but not necessarily all in the first week. This is the sort of thing that hangs around the top 10 for weeks and sells a lot over a period of time. But don't be surprised if the Klaxons outsell her - there's a massive buzz about this album.
