These lists are really helpful for me, but on this occasion, there isn’t anything that I would like to nominate. However Gayle was on my original short list, so will definitely get some points from me if someone nominates her.

2022

Rosa Linn - SNAP

Freya Skye - Lose My Head

Maisie Peters - Not Another Rockstar

And some more tracks I love and would be high up in my points.

Subwoolfer - Give That Wolf A Banana

Cornelia Jakobs - Hold Me Closer

Maisie Peters - Cate’s Brother

Noah Kahan - Northern Attitude

Cat Burns - Go

G Flip feat Lauren Sanderson - GAY 4 ME

Mimi Webb - Ghost of You

There were a couple of years after the pandemic when Eurovision gave us some of the best songs of the year. I would love to have nominated all three of these Eurovision songs, but stuck to one.

Both Freya Skye and Maisie Peters are really underrated when it comes to chart hits - it is so difficult for British music to break through at the moment - so I really felt I must give them a nomination.

I can’t believe ‘Go’ by Cat Burns isn’t nominated yet – again, another underrated artist, and as this was such a big hit, it really should get a nomination.

G Flip: such a talented solo artist, and one of my latest discoveries. I will hopefully nominate one of their more recent tracks. And Mimi Webb - and she has some nominations already, I will just put her track up as a suggestion.

Thank you! Great to see Cornelia (tick it off my list) - and always great to see Ella Henderson.
