This is Salaam E Ishq: A Tribute To Love a Bollywood film which is like a Hindi version of Love Actually. On the downside, for some people, it's four hours long...

...however on the upside none of those four hours includes Bill Nighy doing his Bill Nighy thing (which could be said to be one of the major downsides of the original britcom film)!!!!  B)

Bill Nighy will be no doubt doing his Bill Nighy thing in two upcoming major releases in the upcoming weeks. so which one are you most looking forward to?

Notes on a Scandal or Hot Fuzz

films that have the potential to be so great that not even Bill Nighy can spoil them!!!

Notes on a Scandal - maybe not as good as Closer but i enjoyed it a lot.

also noticed Patrick Marber on Alan Partrige the other night on bbc4 as the baldyman on the panel. strange to think of what some people did in past celeb lives innit

I have just been to see this, I thought it was hilarious and amazing! British Cinema at its best ^_^

ooo damn you matt i was just about to make a thread about this because i just saw it last night, it's a hilarious film isn't it, i love the teacher on the bike at the end, if you get me i am trying not to spoil it :D

I need to see this. Seen clips on tv, it looks good.

It's as good as the trailer and the clips, and has more than the trailer for a change.

Best film for ages have watched it 3 times now on DVD :cheer:

DVD

Having watched it again this time on large screen tv and full surround I have to say this is one of the very best movies I have ever seen and certainly the best to come out of Britain

Imagine Inspector Morse / Midsomer Murders / Bad Boys 2 / the original Wicker Man / 2nd half of From Dusk Till Dawn and John Woo\'s HK action movies all rolled into one and you have Hot Fuzz

Truly one of the all time great action movies :cheer: :cheer:

Is it funnier than SOTD?

I would say in terms of funniness SOTD edges it but in terms of raw action Hot Fuzz does it for me :)

Oh. I'm not a massive fan of action films.

I'll see it anyway because I like alot of stuff Simon Pegg's been in.

I think you will probably like SOTD more tbh then as the last half hour particularly is non stop gunfire, car chases, explosions and so on, I would recommend it for sure but if you are not so keen on action movies you will probably not like it as much as I did

Hot Fuzz was nowhere near as good as I expected  Definitely worth going to see though! :D

So I went to see Hot Fuzz yesterday with large group of hoodied teenagers

Didn't intend to actually go in but hey there was popcorn

and I loved it .... I haven't laughed so much for a long time

It was silly, gratuitous and immature .....

i saw hot fuzz a couple weeks ago... am i the only one who didn't like it?? there were a few amusing moments, but no real laugh out loud ones, no one in the cinema was laughing when i went to see it.. no where near as good as SOTD imo -_-
