August 6, 200718 yr I think Alonso will be at Renault again or at Ferrari next season, Flav would have him back in a heartbeat and Ferrari will have their noses severely put out of joint at what has happened this season so might surely be tempted to go for a Kimi / Alonso dream team next season with Nico Rosberg (my driver of the season) replacing Alonso at McLaren
August 6, 200718 yr Author I think Alonso will be at Renault again or at Ferrari next season, Flav would have him back in a heartbeat and Ferrari will have their noses severely put out of joint at what has happened this season so might surely be tempted to go for a Kimi / Alonso dream team next season with Nico Rosberg (my driver of the season) replacing Alonso at McLaren Heidfeld who'd also be a great choice hasn't signed for BMW next year yet :D But yeah I can see that happening.. Alonso isn't used to being under pressure from his own team mate considering Fisichella hardly set the world alight for the past couple of years so Alonso felt he had to turn into the new Michael Schumacher to try and make sure he got pole.
August 7, 200718 yr An interesting article from Eurosport: "... Alonso is not the only McLaren driver being rumoured with a move away from Woking. British newspaper The Daily Mirror reported that Ferrari are preparing a £70 million swoop for Hamilton. But with both Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa under contract, this would seem highly unlikely. ..." source: Dennis keen to keep Alonso
August 7, 200718 yr Mark Webber wrote some interesting things also for Eurosport: "... And on to McLaren. They really got themselves in a muddle qualifying didn't they? I know teams are looking for a clear track but sometimes they sit in the box for a bit longer than I'd expect. And for sure they screwed themselves over. But to lose all of their Constructors' championship points too? I just don't understand that. Every team does it - bringing two cars in at the same time and inevitably delaying one driver. At the Nurburgring both David and I lost our last qualifying laps because the team weren't organised in that kind of situation and we didn't get out in time. When you go to such extreme margins and try to leave the pits with say a minute and 30 to go when you know it takes a minute and 25 to do a lap, you're always taking a risk, and sometimes you screw yourselves. I just don't understand the points penalty though. People have tried to explain it to me but I just don't get it. You screw yourself over and then get penalised for it. It's crazy. It won't make any difference to the outcome of the championship though. McLaren have been the best team this year with the best car and the best drivers. You could re-run this year a hundred times and McLaren would still win it every time. I just don't understand what the stewards were doing? One team drops the ball, ruins their own guy's chances of getting in a final lap and the team get punished? How does that work? It happens to teams all the way down the grid but they don't get their points taken away. It's just baffled me. The relationship between Lewis and Fernando looks pretty tense at the moment. But I don't see that it's such a big deal really. Prost and Senna hated each other but they still won loads of races in their time as team-mates. ..." source: Webber's opinion
August 8, 200718 yr if fernando goes anywhere it will be back home to renault, he won't go to ferrari coz kimi cost them sh!tloads of cash and jean is not gonna drop his sons driver.
August 8, 200718 yr if fernando goes anywhere it will be back home to renault, he won't go to ferrari coz kimi cost them sh!tloads of cash and jean is not gonna drop his sons driver. Don't rule it out Luca De Montezemelo calls all the shots at Ferrari you overestimate Todt's role, LDM was the one that forced Schumacher into retirement, Todt wanted to desperately keep him on a new contract but LDM refused (source Businessf1 magazine) so if LDM wants Alonso then Todt just has to live with it, LDM has 10 times the power at Ferrari than Todt, I would say it possible Ferrari would loan Massa to Toro Rosso who they supply engines to Also Kimi is on roughly half of what they were paying Schumi Edited August 8, 200718 yr by Vic Vega
August 31, 200717 yr When Dave Richards new team Prodrive come in next year it would be great if he got Danica Patrick over from Indy. She's proven she's as fit (mind you you have to be to drive those monsters) and talented as most male drivers out there. She started last week's race from second position and was running 3rd until a bad pit stop put her down to 11th, she ended the race in 6th place. She's a regular top 5 finisher. Come on Dave - at least give her a test. Also looking forward to seeing 3 times Champ Car champion (and leading the series again) in F1. Edited August 31, 200717 yr by Euro Music

Sorry but ridiculous idea 1) She is being destroyed by male drivers in IRL 2) She has never won a race 3) A woman could not physically handle the G Forces of an F1 car, the G forces of an F1 car are double that of an IRL car 4) She has no history of non oval racing and has not been a success on the IRL road courses Edited August 31, 200717 yr by Vic Vega
September 17, 200717 yr i wouldn't mind seeing women break through into f1, it would break up the sport and prove that women can drive just as well as men (just not in the real world)
September 17, 200717 yr Sorry but ridiculous idea 3) A woman could not physically handle the G Forces of an F1 car, the G forces of an F1 car are double that of an IRL car Since when can women not handle G forces? You get women astronaughts and fighter polits and they probaly have more than an F1 car.
September 17, 200717 yr I would not be against a woman driver being given a go if she proved she was good enough by winning titles in lower formulas but F1 is not Lambeth Council there should not be a quotas policy or people chosen on sex or skin colour it should be about TALENT so if a woman comes along that has success in lower series then great give her a go on merit but I don't want to see women bought in just because a cute smile might help sell more Toyota Corrola's or Renault Megane's Danica has won NOTHING not a single race so until she has a title or 2 under her belt I don't want to see her anywhere near F1 unless as a spectator and the same goes for any other woman race driver, I only want to see a woman in F1 or a man come to that because they have WON things
September 17, 200717 yr I thought yesterdays race was boring, i want Hamilton to win overall but i would not be surpirsed if he slips to 2nd place overall.

September 22, 200717 yr Alonso will goes to Renault or Ferrari. Cause McLaren Mercedes is $h!t. -_- And he will win this season and show everyone that he's the best, and the fair play always wins. And Hamilton will go to hell. haha :teresa: -_-
September 30, 200717 yr http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/44146000/jpg/_44146942_hamilton2270.jpg Who's the daddy now Fernando? Hamilton drove a brilliant race in awful conditions at Fuji to win the Japanese Grand Prix, whilst Alonso crashed out. Lewis Hamilton took a huge stride towards becoming the first man to win the title in his first season with victory in the Japanese Grand Prix. This leaves rookie Lewis 12 points ahead with just two races left of the Grand Prix season. Alonso your time is over... step aside while the rookie takes your place. I suspect the engraver for the BBC can start engraving the name of Lewis Hamilton on the BBC Sports Personality of the Year trophy for 2007 right now! :yahoo:
