I've tried searching for a new release date - but with no joy.

The last edition did come out May 20th 2005 - so I would assume it will be soon as it normally comes out before my birthday in June & I make a point of buying every other edition (I bought the 2004 one, so I will probably buy it).

do you keep them all or chuck them out when you get the new one?

Good question - I keep the previous one, but sell the one prior to that in a car boot sale!

I'm here just for a flying visit

June 2nd

I practially keep all of them, since 1980

9th of June I think. There's a picture of the front cover at www.bibleofpop.com

so if it came out in may last time, and now its coming out a few weeks later, does that mean they thought they have a couple of extra weeks to get it proof read?

Its worth waiting if they're going to give it a proof read. The last one was full of stupid mistakes

I got £8 off at WHSmiths, I think. But when I realised it was all wrong, I took it back -_-

well there's quite a few charts books out there. waterstones is full of them. however these days i'm liking the great rock/indie etc discographies. they are brill books (even if all the random one hit plebs who had a dance hit at number 67 are not in) but for big acts very in depth

I prefer the official one. Thats why I just thought I'd take it back and wait for a re-issue, or a new edition.
