Scissor Sisters - Kiss You Off

Released: May 28, 2007

Label: Polydor Records

Reviewed By: Daniel Black

Rating: 5/10

They came, they saw and, not within long, they conquered the music scene…but just weeks after their second album ‘Tah-Dah’, I fear that the camp-est band on the planet have begun to peek.

They exploded unto the scene with “Comfortably Numb” a few years ago and since then they’ve just kept growing stronger and stronger. The same public who made the camp classics of Queen, Wham and Sir Elton John household names, accepted them on the same level. Their hits became anthems and the band became icons of 21st Century music.

I never really was a Scissors fan, but I respected their musical potential up until now. Hearing ‘Kiss You Off’ has just undone everything they’ve ever done in the past couple of years. They sound just like a desperate band that have run out of stuff to sing about and unfortunately it may spark the beginning of a long and boring end to the Scissor Sisters career.

Anyone care to guess where KYO will enter the charts on Sunday??

I dont think it is doing particularly well in the mid-weeks :(

Bad sh1t, the digital b-side to Kiss You Off is also available on itunes
I know :( Not really much point in releasing a fifth single from Ta-Dah.....
they shall, if only to complete the letters that go down the spine of the cd single case...
the single needed a b-side, video track, etc. tbh
