People got his first album because one song ignited it..lite the flame under it and it sold by the shed load..but once you had that album you found out that alot of it was poor to begin with so you didn't want his second and it didn't help that his lead single and video off that new album was complete cack. and that did it for him. IMO of course.

Nat B's first single is cack and the video had her throwing herself at different blokes she wanted to use and sperm donors. lovely <_<

No single from that album would have helped, as there wasn't anything that would have could on with the general public anyway. A lot of it seemed catered toward explaining his Christianity, and if there's one thing people hate it's being preached at. Still you've gotta respect the man, he isn't afraid of being himself even at the expense of sales. I would say the same thing regarding Will Young... he released 'Switch It On' as the the first single from 'Keep On', when his record company were practically begging him to put out 'Al Time Love'. This led to his album only getting to No 2, and 19 rush releasing ATL as the second single in January. At least that album went on to sell a respectable amount, something tells me Natasha's is going to have to recover VERY well to sell anything like 900k copies considering it's slow start. We shall wait and see..

Almost 950k is more than a respectable amount surely.

Most artist around still after five years should sell as well as Will..he's one of the few still standing. Dan got to his second album ..Wills writing his forth.

a million including downloads by now i should expect..he went gold in SA recently..maybe more now.

I meant compared to 'Fridays Child ' which obviously did more than 1.7 million in the UK. But you're right, 3x platinum is a very impressive result for the 'difficult' album e.g the third one. He's certainly deserves a lot of credit, having moved away from the reality TV tag and even taking on some high profile acting roles, both on stage and screen. I wonder which area he'll concentrate on more in the future... his music or his thespianism? Judging by some of the remarks he has made recently, I suspect the latter. Which would be a shame, as his albums aren't actually half bad. He's the only act out of those shows I've got any time for apart from Girls Aloud, anyway..

Awww I love Switch It On, one of Will's best imo but I'm still miffed he only releases three singles off his albums, Ain't Such A Bad Place To Be would have been a good 4th single. Anyways, better not hog this chart thread anymore now, I do hope Natasha's sales pick up during the week, any idea what her next single is? I hope it's not Say It Again as I heard it on Capital this morning and it sounded pretty tame to me, she co-wrote it with Adam from Maroon 5.
I do believe it's due to be Soulmate, is it not?

I've not heard that one yet but she's album of the week on Capital and they'll be playing another track in the morning, I'll listen out for it.

YEY MSP great song

Poor natasha was hoping top 3 the album aint really that bad ^_^

Poor Bev UNDERACHIEVIN STILL

I had a feeling NB would only be low top 10, which is a shame as she's far more talented and superior to her useless brother and deserves to be successful. I bought the album and I'm playing it through now.

Do we have an exact position on it?

Awful for Bev  It really wasnt the right single choice but hopefully itll be top 40 by the weekend..

Lower than where Daniel's ended up charting...

:) JoJo!

Oh my! :o Natasha

I personally love Soulmate, would make a good single

that and Not Given Up

but their the only stand-out songs on NB

however Unwritten had many more...
