May 6, 200719 yr I blame the Freemasons remix for the Manics missing out on a 3rd #1, what would have been their first #1 since January 2000 - The Masses Against The Classes.
May 6, 200719 yr The Manics  Midweeked #1 all week back in October 2004 before Eric Prydz stole the crown at the last minute for the second week in a row. Also set the record for the lowest #2 ever in early 2005 when they sold about 13,000 of 'Empty Souls' behind a skanky Elvis reissue.
May 6, 200719 yr Oh well :( Please cheer me up and go and vote YES for a Manic Street Preachers forum :P
May 6, 200719 yr I blame the Freemasons remix for the Manics missing out on a 3rd #1, what would have been their first #1 since January 2000 - The Masses Against The Classes. Masses Against The Classes was a total anthem as well Where is the justice?
May 6, 200719 yr Still I will be buying the Manics album next week, to maintain my collection of all their studio albums even though the previous two albums weren't that good.

May 6, 200719 yr Oh no! :( They'll be beaten by Maroon 5 easily then :( Yeah I think that too. Especially after seeing how well Maroon 5 have done in the states now. :( Such a shame but then again the majority of #2s have been much better this year than the #1s - Avril, Gwen, Manics to name a few.
May 6, 200719 yr Beyonce and Shakira are only number 1 because of the freemasons remix -_- Without that they song wouldn't even be a hit!
May 6, 200719 yr And now come to this thread and if you like to play, predict next weeks top 10! :cheer:
May 6, 200719 yr Thank GOD Beyoncé kept that AWFUL, BORING drivel off #1. :D It's like May 1996 all over again when the Manic's seminal A Design For Life was kept off the top by the truly vile Mark Morrison - Return of The Mack. :arrr:

May 6, 200719 yr Beyonce and Shakira are only number 1 because of the freemasons remix -_- Without that they song wouldn't even be a hit! No, because the normal version is outselling the remix on digital download.
