Kaiser Chief takes credit for Spice Girls

Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson has taken dubious credit for the rumoured Spice Girls reunion.

Since Take That began their latest tour, rumours have been circulating that the 90s girl group are planning to reform, even though Melanie C has expressly shown her reluctance from the start.

However, Hodgson has now claimed that he managed to convince the singer to rejoin the famous pop quintet.

Speaking to MTV, the drummer said: "I said ‘You should do it. Now is the perfect time.’ Mel said, ‘Do you really think?’ I said ‘Yeah.’

"So she said, ‘Right I’ll do it.’ I asked, ‘Are you kidding?’ and she said ‘No.’"

OK! confirms Spice Girls To Begin Reunion Rehearsal!

After months of speculation and rumor, OK! can confirm that '90s power gals The Spice Girls have finally agreed to reunite and will soon begin rehearsing in Los Angeles for an upcoming tour!

While all of the Spices have played coy with the media regarding the reunion rumors, it's been widely reported that the lone holdout in getting the band back together was Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm, who has repeatedly said in the past that she thought a reunion was a bad idea. However, a source close to the British beauties tells OK! that Mel C has changed her tune.

Mel's newly opened mind was somewhat evident this past weekend when she told the BBC's Something For the Weekend that "if the other four girls want to do it, I don't want to be the one to hold things up." Though Mel did say that she would not want to write any new songs with the reconvened Spice Girls. "That time has passed," she said.

“The girls have all seen how the revival of other acts has worked out so well," a Spice Girls insider explains to OK!. "They see the potential now and know it could be the same for them.”

But why have the British babes chosen Los Angeles as the place to work on brushing off their Spicy stage performances? Aside from Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham's recent move to L.A. with her family — not to mention her currently filming reality show for NBC, there's also Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown, who recently had a baby and is embroiled in a paternity case involving purported father Eddie Murphy which requires baby Angel to stay in the U.S. until the matter is resolved.

In The Mirror it says that Victoria Beckham was frightened when recording 2 new songs for the Spice Girls Greatest Hits. She hasn't recorded music for ages so it felt really strange to have the microphone in front of her again

yea my mam read that out to me this morning, hmm.

i just don't know what to believe anymore

I think if they do the right thing... They can be HUGE again. Not as huge as they used to but they can definitely cause an impact. They are are 5 talented girls.
Their comeback can be even better than Take That, If they had the right promotion.

I agree 100% i think they could be HUGE

I think the GH will do amazing and surpass the 1.2million mark.
PLEASE don't have a proper comeback girls. You'll ruin it. A couple of new songs, one new release, a GH is all I want :(
