May 20, 200719 yr 39 (from 67) CSS - Let's Make Love And Listen To Death from Above [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/WEA418CD.JPG Chart Run: 67-39 Release date: 14-5-2007 Availability: normally ships in 24 hours Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: WEA418CDH Label: WARNERS Unadulterated electropop brilliance, undisputed dancefloor juggernaut and surely, surely a summer anthem in the making, CSS re-release 'Let's Make Love (& Listen To Death From Above)'. 'Lets Make Love...' is a joyous mash-up of styles, with a guitar riff and pulsating bassline so infectious, so instant, it hurts. Much has been made of the fact that Lovefoxxx wrote the lyrics of this track so that her then favourite band (Death From Above 1979) could google themselves and stumble across a then-unknown CSS and their tribute to the now-defunct duo. But the end result way overshadows that detail. A Tom Tom Club-esque 80’s electro vibe bleeds into synths, and Luiza’s "ROCKOUUUUT" guitar bridge, all expertly bound together and overlaid by Lovefoxxx’s sultry spoken vocals. - HMV Video here: 7agPOt1XZz8 track listing 1. Let's Make Love And Listen To Death from Above 2. Alala [bonde Do Role Remix] Discussion Thread Here This is the groups first top 40 and also I'm wondering if the group Death From Above 1979 noticed that they are being honors on a hit single.
May 20, 200719 yr Author 36 (from 24) Alex Gaudino Feat. Crystal Waters - Destination Calabria [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/DATA153CDX.JPG Chart Run: 18-5-4-5-9-12-14-16-24-36 Release date: 19-3-2007 Availability: normally ships in 24 hours Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: DATA153CDX Label: DATA 'Destination Calabria' has been building itself a cult following since it began life as 'Destination Unknown', a track Alex put together with his studio partner Maurizio Nari back in 2003, which featured vocals by Crystal 'Gypsy Woman' Waters. Jim Tonique was called in on remix duties, and to add a little something special to his mix, he replayed the irresistible sax hook of the Ibiza classic by Rune, 'Calabria' (originally released on Credence that same year.) Little did he know that this would then turn out to be one of the most sought after records over the coming months with DJs clamouring to get their hands on a copy. - HMV Video here: GWu-e6B2AJs Discussion Thread Here

May 20, 200719 yr I hate the way radio 1 always play the most overplayed songs in the chart.
May 20, 200719 yr Author 35 Fall Out Boy - Thnks Fr Th Mmrs 34 (from 32) Mika - Grace Kelly [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1721083.JPG Chart Run: 3-1-1-1-1-1-2-4-6-7-11-10-12-19-22-25-26-32-34 Having fast become his signature song, 'Grace Kelly', is a sensational 4/4 opera set to a technicolour pop backdrop. It is an infectious and pompous two-fingered salute to Mika's former record company, as the lines "shall I bend over, shall I look older, just to be put on your shelf" demonstrate. 'Grace Kelly' comes complete with a video directed by British director extraordinaire Sophie Muller (Beyonce, Coldplay, Gwen Stefani). - HMV Video (Jools Holland Live) here: mC9UzFhNlbA track listing 1.
