Holland win 13 v 12 on penalties after 16 rounds of penalties!!!!

It's about time the game's powers (FIFA, UEFA) insisted that goalkeepers stick to the rules in penalty shoot-outs. There are three officials available. They don't have to worry about other palyers encroaching into the penalty area. It shouldn't be too difficult to make sure the 'keeper stays on his line.

Italy will be in the 2008 Olympics after winning the play-off game against Portugal on penalty shootouts after a goalless game. There fore Italy, Netherlands, Belgium and Serbia will be the European teams in China next year for the Olympics.

 

It's the first time Netherlands will be in an Olympic Tournament since 1952 and Belgium since...1928!

 

Italy qualified for its fourth Olympic football tournament in a row (it won bronze in Athens 2004). Serbia was in Athens too still under the Serbia & Montenegro designation.

I hope Holland thrash the Serbians. Vile fans, should be banned from football until they can learn to behave. We were, they should be. DISGUSTING! :puke2:
