June 10, 200719 yr Author 7 (from 5) Maroon 5 - Makes Me Wonder [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1734956.JPG Chart Run: 19-2-2-5-7 [5 wks] Release date: 14-5-2007 Availability: normally ships in 24 hours Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 1734956 Label: POLYDOR Maroon 5 hit the airwaves with their new single 'Makes Me Wonder', the first single from their sophmore album 'It Won't Be Soon Before Long', the follow-up to the ten million selling 'Songs About Jane'. 'Makes Me Wonder' captures all of the elements that create a universally appealing pop rock song; the song segues from a bass heavy intro to an infectiously catchy melody that soon belies the sentiment, "Give me something to believe in because I don’t believe in you anymore". Beneath the surface, it also incorporates what Levine calls "an increasing dissatisfaction with the direction of the world" and its leaders, imparting a new layer of meaning to an otherwise upbeat breakup song. - HMV Video here: GVIgOBVO5gA track listing 1. June 10, 200719 yr I absolutely hate this dreadful track by Maroon 5. :puke2: If this was the best song they could come with after 5 years since the release of Songs About Jane.....
June 10, 200719 yr I do like this Maroon 5 song but it shouldnt have outperformed This Love or even She Will Be Loved :(
June 10, 200719 yr Maroon 5 have disappointed me so much. :( Harder To Breathe was a classic - like TIP said, if this is the best they can deliver after 4 odd years away...
June 10, 200719 yr Author 6 (from 4) Hellogoodbye - Here (In Your Arms) [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697098462.JPG Chart Run: 10-11-5-4-4-6 [6 wks] Release date: 14-5-2007 Availability: normally ships in 24 hours Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 88697098462 Label: RCA If there’s one thing to expect from Hellogoodbye, it’s the unexpected. One day the band is sharing the stage with Beyoncé, or at least a cut-out of Beyoncé, and the next day, each member is dressed up as a different piece of fruit. With all the energy and intensity of Tom Cruise jumping on Oprah’s couch (minus all that pesky Scientology stuff about people living in volcanoes) Hellogoodbye have spent the last two years perfecting their unbridled live show and booty-shaking anthems. Despite having never released a record in the UK, Hellogoodbye recently completed a full UK tour, which SOLD OUT on buzz alone. Subsequently the band is now ready to unleash one of their brilliant stand out tracks, 'Here (In Your Arms)'. Described by NY’s Village Voice paper as “an emo band doing euro-pop”, this unlikely track has battled its way to the premier league of US music – The Billboard Top 10. - HMV Video here: 8bUkxTznujo track listing 1.
